@f3ndot
Just wanted to politely nudge in case someone forgot to do the deploy part :smile:

@Jawshy
Hi, @f3ndot. The last step before the changes go live is to review and merge master into gh-pages. FAQ Merge describes the full process.

@f3ndot
Gotcha! Sorry to pester @Jawshy

anyone active here? Do you use a slack?
Anyways, I jumped in here to let you all know that I made a google form that generates new issues for the Acceptbitcoincash repository that originally forked off from your repo. We have found it incredibly useful for adding new sites and figured I would let you guys/girls know in case you wanted help setting something up similar to it
but it's rarely used
we only ever got like 4 submissions into it
Ken Salomon
@kenman345
oh okay, cause ours formats the issue to include the yml in a copy and paste and commit type format
and we made it available at out /add url address
mxxcon
@mxxcon
if people know how to create a yaml, they should be savvy enoough to create a PR :)
at least in my own eyes this form for is completely unsavvy and/or lazy people
Ken Salomon
@kenman345
no i mena our form outputs a new issue on our repository that has the YML formatted. So we've had around 45 submissions in two tweeks time and 30 have been added within a day of submission since it takes most of the work from those that are maintaining the repo
mxxcon
@mxxcon
oh
Ken Salomon
@kenman345
yea, our form is completely for the lazy, it just really helps
acceptbitcoincash/acceptbitcoincash#479
it tags the issue with two labels for keeping sorted. If they left non-required fields out, then those tags wouldn't appear in the output issue that it creates
but we basically just need to download and compress the image and put that yml in the right place and commit
mxxcon
@mxxcon
i guess you do it in javascript as a script in google sheets?
Ken Salomon
@kenman345
we've gotten much better submissions since we launched this form and added way more listings than before as the two maintainers (myself and one other) have been less lazy since its all in there for us
yep
I was merely offering to help in setting up a similar thing if you wanted
mxxcon
@mxxcon
ya, i guess it doesn't hurt to have something like that
Ken Salomon
@kenman345
We'll does that form you got have output to someplace? II can give my code over but I have a small section commented out to use as a test to identify the index of each field. Then we can just match up what you need
I may have a lot more than you need since I have a case switch for every country to extract out its two letter country code
btw, thanks for making this repo so great. Made building our project really nice
mxxcon
@mxxcon
:+1: bunch of people work on it
Ken Salomon
@kenman345
When we forked the repo, we had 5 people working on it to get the tags in the yml that we needed
took a week
We're adding a secondary page for adult sections soon actually. Kinda would be amusing if people were asking for 2FA on that
mxxcon
@mxxcon
i think we had a couple of submissions but decided to stay out of it, although i don't remember exactly :)
Ken Salomon
@kenman345
I'm still at work now but I'll come back in a few hours and set you guys up with what you need
mxxcon
@mxxcon

Hello! :)

@Carlgo11
Hi @programmer94
Louis
@brycx
Hi guys, I have some old PR's that don't get too much attention. I understand you all must be busy, so is there something I can do to help make it easier to merge them?
Carlgo11
@Carlgo11
Not really. I’ll try to take a look at your PRs later today
Louis
@brycx
Alright.
Ken Salomon
@kenman345
some of the PRs I've made (i know one is needing some fixes) are pending still.

@rluks
Hi there, I just noticed mintos.com isn't listed. It's a P2P investment platform. They don't have 2FA at the moment, however I was on a chat with them and 2FA is under development (should take a few weeks). Feel free to add them.

@dilijev
I was inspired by this project to create a password-forms-rules-as-code project (intending to have a site as well as an npm package and perhaps libraries for other languages for password generators to consume) -- was wondering if anyone is aware of a project already underway for this: https://github.com/dilijev/PasswordRules
Doug Ilijev
@dilijev
I'm planning to start filling that in tonight based on https://defuse.ca/password-policy-hall-of-shame.htm, my personal experience, and some experimentation
not sure what form the code will take yet, but the goal is that password generators can consume it, so maybe include a standard interface per site to return allowed characters, disallowed characters, max length, min length, and a sanity check validator function.
some kind of required characters interface as well
Carlgo11
@Carlgo11
@dilijev a speaker at PasswordsCon 2018 talked about something similar he had created. I think he made a bunch of xml files for different sites detailing what kinds of passwords they allowed. min length, max length, special chars etc.
Here's the talk: https://youtu.be/AIGBMcP_deI
Doug Ilijev
@dilijev
@Carlgo11 oh awesome, thanks
Doug Ilijev
@dilijev
interesting talk but a lot of the services mentioned are seemingly nonexistent or offline, and some poking around led me to a link to a bitbucket which supposedly contained the database but it's private or missing.
not exactly an open database to be potentially used by any password generator
definitely a step in the right direction, though, thanks!
