    you can find files in lib by commint date (all original lib files have some datestamp, but patched files have another)

    im not quite sure if this is the right channel, but: the init.lua file is the one started if the esp is connected to power
    or is it just started when a serial port is opened?

    @4refr0nt I tried it from Hamburg Germany and I still cannot access the page. Could you please post the latest binary here or on Github or Dropbox? That would be great thanks.

    @4refr0nt Thank you very much. One last question even if it is not related to the ESplorer. I want to connect the VS1053 mp3 decoder chip to the ESP8266. Where do I find the drivers for ESP8266 and how do I know how to connect them? Thank you so much for your help.
    Victor Brutskiy
    @4refr0nt
    @confile see https://github.com/espressif/ESP8266_MP3_DECODER (but ES9023+23LC1024)
    @confile may be usefull https://github.com/pvvx/mp3_decode

    @4refr0nt I am using the NodeMCU firmware do you have any experience with that?
    Michael Gorski
    @confile
    @4refr0nt in ESplorer the link "NodeMCU download latest firmware" does not work anymore.
    Marcel Stör
    @marcelstoer
    @confile you shouldn't download any old NodeMCU firmware but build one yourself, all pre-built binaries are totally outdated.
    use either the cloud build at http://frightanic.com/nodemcu-custom-build/stats.php and select the dev branch or build easily with Docker on your machine https://hub.docker.com/r/marcelstoer/nodemcu-build/

    @4refr0nt I received wifiMCU 3 days ago and I am very unhappy from WiFiMCU_STUDIO... do you have any plans port your ESPlorer also to this platform (emw3165)? .. it would be nice :-)
    Michael Gorski
    @confile
    is ESPlorer still under development?
    Victor Brutskiy
    @4refr0nt
    on slow developmen :)
    Michael Gorski
    @confile
    @4refr0nt Could you please add a readme on the ESPlorer github page how to build it from source.
    Victor Brutskiy
    @4refr0nt
    @confile no readme needed - its very simple. download source, open in NetBeans IDE and add libs.
    Michael Gorski
    @confile
    How do I create a jar from the source code if I do not use Netbeans?
    Victor Brutskiy
    @4refr0nt
    @confile I do not know another way without modifications. Try see https://github.com/ddm/ESPlorer/tree/migrate-to-maven

    @liquiddandruff tnx :smile:
    Marcel Stör
    @marcelstoer
    @liquiddandruff I also like it but you'll like it a lot less if you start digging into the source code. ESPlorer is essentially a single Java file with >10k lines of spaghetti code. A monster ready to bite you in the ass as soon as you try to tinker with it. I once considered fixing a few things but that first look deterred me from taking a second. Just glad it kinda works fine.
    Dimitri del Marmol
    @ddm
    @confile Unfortunately the https://github.com/ddm/ESPlorer/tree/migrate-to-maven is probably behind the ESPlorer master branch.

    Hey... I met some problem with Esplorer...
    During the normal usage... It just automatically minimized, and I can nerver make it as normal window
    (Windows 10 64bit, with java version "1.8.0_73"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_73-b02)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.73-b02, mixed mode)
    Reboot the compouter makes no efforts, every time reopen the ESPlorer, it will flash a second, and minimized as a small icon
    No idea about what happened

    in the LUA editor, after you save the file (CTRL + S), the undo buffer is cleared, that is, I can't issue CTRL+Z commands because the undo stack is discarded on saving... very annoying

    hi all, i`m new to HW world, can I flash my Cloud Witty to MicroPython with ESPlorer ? or I can only code with esplorer ?

    @/all has anyone used I2S for audio input with ESP ?
    Laneone
    @theycallmeloki
    Hi, so the esplorer is only to write lua/python code to the ESP?
    do I need to flash something before using NodeMCU?
    Marcel Stör
    @marcelstoer
    @Laneone First you flash the NodeMCU firmware (after you built it) then you upload your Lua code. See http://nodemcu.readthedocs.io/en/latest/en/flash/ and http://nodemcu.readthedocs.io/en/latest/en/upload/.

    Hello all,
    Over the last few weeks I have been adding new functionality to ESPlorer to make it work better with MicroPython boards. I plan to submit these as a PR to the main repo, in order to facilitate testing infrequent I'll host a beta release on my fork as well. I was inspired by a friend to look into fixing and extending the MicroPython functions offered in ESPlorer. The main reason for doing so is that for new learners a GUI may be simpler to use than remembering the different text based syntaxes and idioms, and that I frequently found myself switching between 2 or 3 tools to accomplish simple tasks. Personally I prefer to have the choice between a text based and a GUI based IDE , so I can pick what works best for me, for a specific project.
