Okay so good news and bad news
Good news is that the solar system map is coming along super awesomely
Bad news is that the file is f'n enormous, will probably be half a gig by the time I'm done including all the planet layers
Or larger, if I'm being honest here
So while we can go back and rearrange things, it would take forever to upload to the repository on my crap speeds. So I'll probably have to just hang on to it
If whoever is doing the trajectory could figure it out soonlike so I can arrange them correctly myself, that would be awesome.

Sara
@terpin
Apr 08 2015 07:46 UTC
yeah
i'm thinking once everything is in there, it'll be around 750mb, maybe more. that's pretty standard for that size, but i usually move stuff like that on a backup drive to the printer. I think I have 1mb up tops, eesh.

Tylar
@7yl4r
Apr 08 2015 19:22 UTC
I hate to do this to you, but can I get some rough estimates of distances in between nodes?
I suppose I could guess from this chart though, right?
Ben
@MrNubbin
Apr 08 2015 19:24 UTC
i can do some maths. km or AU or yes?
Tylar
@7yl4r
Apr 08 2015 19:38 UTC
Earth-.005AU->Moon-2AU->Mars maneuver-3AU-> mars -2AU-> ceres maneuver -2AU-> ceres -3AU-> jupiter maneuver -3AU->Jupiter
look about right?
Ben
@MrNubbin
Apr 08 2015 19:50 UTC
Ok "yes" it is. They're pretty basic but its close:
  1. Launch->Moon Maneuver Node: 0.0013 AU (192200 km)
  2. Moon Maneuver Node - > Moon Rendezvous: 0.0013 AU (192200 km)
  3. Moon Rendezvous -> Mars Maneuver Node: 1.9608 AU (293,341,758 km)
  4. Mars Maneuver Node -> Mars Rendezvous: 1.9608 AU (293,341,758 km)
  5. Mars Rendezvous -> Ceres Maneuver Node: 1.6243 AU (242,993,682 km)
  6. Ceres Maneuver Node -> Ceres Rendezvous: 1.6243 AU (242,993,682 km)
  7. Ceres Rendezvous -> Jupiter Maneuver Node: 3.2486 AU (485,987,365 km)
  8. Jupiter Maneuver Node -> Jupiter Rendezvous: 3.2486 AU (485,987,365 km)
Total distance: 13.6715 AU (2,045,222,213 km)
Also, replace all "Jupiter"s with "Europa"

The only think I can imagine missing from that moon station is a rotating component or something for simulated gravity
