    Eclair mobile 0.4.9 the fees need to lower paying such fees when we know that is possible to paid much less. The protection thing didn't help me at all. I ended up paying 90 sats when i know that with zap I could had paid around 2 sats. What you don't people using your app? Because with those fees no one will

    @fjdone LOL .. 90 sats isn't too high

    Hi my channel in eclair mobile from
    Acinq was closed by them
    Can someone advise why ?
    I can post the raw data

    @carnhofdaki
    @fjdone From my experience the "fee protection" is actually causing more trouble because it may decide to close a channel which is perfectly OK.

    @t-bast
    I think you are confusing the max fee protection (setting that doesn't let the payment exceed a configured fee) and the feerate mismatch. The fee protection is just a parameter for the path-finding algorithm, it has nothing to do with channels and can't close them. What may close channels is the feerate mismatch: if your peer's feerate is too different from yours, it's too dangerous to keep on using the channel and the spec (not only us, every implementation) says that this channel should be closed

    @fjdone I've run mobile wallet with a payment channel to my own node for over a year and have never paid more than 3 sats total for any of hundreds of payments - the vast majority of them were under 1 sat. Not sure who your peers are, but you're getting fleeced. https://i.imgur.com/HMW0P9m.png

    I want pay by btc in lightning network, who can help me?
    Fabrice Drouin
    @sstone
    @Ab2646_twitter please be more specific. This gitter channel is dedicated to eclair-mobile and is not a generic support forum for Lightning.

    Just paid a $0.07 routing fee on a $10
    Just paid a $0.97 routing fee on a $10.03 payment anyone know why when the limit is set at 3%?
    RicPE Long
    @Trymriverman_twitter
    $0.07 not $0.97 I mean
    Fabrice Drouin
    @sstone
    @Trymriverman_twitter which is it ? $0.07 fee or $0.97 fee ? $0.07 for $10 is 0.7% which would be fine

    I've setup a channel from eclair mobile to my eclair node, but can't receive to the eclair mobile wallet from the node. I can send from eclair mobile no problem, is there any way to make this work both ways? Thanks!
    Bastien Teinturier
    @t-bast
    @Norkstar at first all the balance is on your eclair-mobile side. You can change that either by adding a push_amount when opening the channel (if you open from eclair-mobile) or by making outgoing payments. Once you have balance on your node side, you simply need to enable receive over Lightning in the eclair-mobile app's settings and you'll be able to receive
    Norkstar
    @Norkstar
    Thank you
    Bastien Teinturier
    @t-bast
    Small rectification: eclair-mobile doesn't expose the push_amount trick...but if you've made an outgoing payment then you'll have inbound liquidity
    Or you can open a channel from your node to your eclair-mobile

    should on-chain transactions always work? no matter if i have a LN channel open or not? i think yes. but i always get "Could not send transaction". any idea, what could be wrong? i have enough funds.
    another question. should opening a channel with a node behind tor work? using an onion-address?
    hannes
    @escapedcat
    let me know if this isn't the right place to ask. i can also write support for example. thx.
    Pierre-Marie Padiou
    @pm47
    @escapedcat try "Menu" > "Network Info" > "Reset wallet cache"
    Fabrice Drouin
    @sstone
    @escapedcat also which version of the app are you yusing ? 0.4.9 includes a fix for a fee estimation bug that could prevent the wallet from funding transactions correctly in some cases
    hannes
    @escapedcat
    using 0.4.9, resyncing now, let's see. thx for your replies.
    yes, this seems to have worked! thx a bunch! after the cache-reset my balance also changed.
    another thing which is confusing for me. i have one channel that says "CLOSING (uncooperative)" since a long time. can i do anything to solve this or i just keep waiting?
    Fabrice Drouin
    @sstone
    @escapedcat was there any additional info with the "Could not send transaction" error ? How long have you been waiting on your closing channel ?
    hannes
    @escapedcat

    these things are not related (i think). i'm using thus wallet since some time and also paid some sats every now and then through different channels. i think the latest "Could not send transaction" issue was just a hickup and got solved with the cache-reset. could send teh onchain transaction now.

    the "uncooperative"-channel has been there for a very long time. might have been the first one i ever openend for testing with a friend. not much in there. just curious if thsi can be solved.

    Pierre-Marie Padiou
    @pm47
    @escapedcat re: the stuck channel, that's probably due to https://github.com/ACINQ/eclair-mobile/issues/206#issuecomment-561541101
    has the funding tx been published?
    (see in the channel details)
    hannes
    @escapedcat
    yes, it's from 30.01.2019. long time ago.
    but thx for the issue. gonna follow that one.
    Pierre-Marie Padiou
    @pm47
    you need to make sure that the funding tx doen't exist
    otherwise that could be a different issue
    hannes
    @escapedcat
    hm, i can open it in the explorer... might be something else then
    Pierre-Marie Padiou
    @pm47
    ok please share the "raw channel data", we'll look into it. you can DM that to me

    Hi guys. I've used eclair for some time with acinq node, but now i got problems. I tried to open a channel to tor using l8ghtning node and i get this :
    Eclair herjaaa vaan: failed to open channel:reconnection in progress.
    Sorry for typos. Trouble with the phone.
    Fabrice Drouin
    @sstone
    @NordahThors_twitter you mean you are trying to use eclair over TOR ? with something like Orbot ? Can you describe what you're doing more precisely ? Do you have problems connecting to any LN node or just one specifically ? The error you're seeing is a low-level connection error, which could be caused by a faulty connection or a node that is not responding properly
    Aluminum Falcon
    @NordahThors_twitter
    It looks like problem is with tor. Node im connecting with works over tor, and I dont. I suppose I need to configure this using orbot?
    araspitzu
    @araspitzu
    @NordahThors_twitter you can't connect to a node over TOR if you're not running it yourself, there are reports of people successfully running eclair-mobile + orbit to connect to TOR nodes. Note that eclair-mobile officialy doesn't support TOR.
    Aluminum Falcon
    @NordahThors_twitter
    Works like a charm with eclair+orbit.
    Thanks!
