@diru1100 Try setting up the project on your local machine and play with it. Honestly, I think that is the best way to find any issues. We can help you if you face any issues setting it up.
@rahulj3716 Glad to help

Can anyone tell me as to why there would be a difference in testing while doing it in a local machine and that on Gitlab?
Rahul Jain
@rahulj3716
@Subhang23 can you elaborate?
Subhang23
@Subhang23
What I meant to say was I ran npm run test on local production and I compared with the one that happens during CI/CD and they are different
Saurabh Thakur
@thakursaurabh1998
which test is failing?
Rahul Jain
@rahulj3716
@thakursaurabh1998 I don't think so. the same test file is running at both places. how do you find it is different?
Subhang23
@Subhang23
This one is common should return an error for emissions produced for item 'Synthetic Fertilizers' in Delhi (city) for agriculture route in my local production gives 200 when it expects a 400 error code
In GitLab CI/CD testing it passes while giving a 400 status code
Subhang23
@Subhang23
But in a particular case of my MR#198 where I had made some changes in the API calls I got 2 errors one is the above one (again got 200 when 400 was expected) and other because of changes in the API(calculation of carbon emission for instantaneous water heater) but for the CI/CD testing I am getting these two tests as failed along with some more tests as failed some of which include calculations also
Saurabh Thakur
@thakursaurabh1998
Can you check if there is any external dependencies on that route? For example if it is hitting any external API and you are getting different results on the gitlab pipeline and in your local machine?
Subhang23
@Subhang23
@thakursaurabh1998 It was something like that. I found out there was some problem with my redis so that is why it was happening. Thanks a lot.
Saurabh Thakur
@thakursaurabh1998
Great :raised_hands:
Subhang23
@Subhang23
@thakursaurabh1998 @saisankargochhayat Why do we maintain a config.json file when it is only used in the db_scripts file? We can remove it and take in the variables from the .env file .

Hey people, this is Brijesh, currently working at Paytm Insider as a Full Stack Developer. I am planning to apply for GSoC in a couple of years when I will be pursuing my masters. However, I thought it would be great to have a head start and be accustomed to the project. Let me know if there are any tasks I can look into.
