I'm noticing only a handful of people here, and I wonder if it might be related to the Github authentication process. When I elected the option to log in with my GitHub account, the green ("Authorize"?, "Join"?) button was disabled. I'm not sure why/how I got it enabled, but it was some random clicking around the authentication panel that did it. For some reason, my GitHub organizations were part of the authentication process, which might have been part of the reason.
I'm not particularly experienced at using GitHub yet, though, so I'm sure my difficulty in joining might just be related to my relative unfamiliarity.
@Pseudothink you're right! I imagine Sunday will be the big hackathon day, so today I'm hoping we'll start building momentum on the chat :)
I had an issue with granting access to one of the organizations on my github. I had to manually accept reporting it to gitter -> it propted for a password and I just clicked away from it and then the authorize button was enabled. I think it's a github feature to limit visibility of group affiliation.
It will be recorded (so don't step into the camera area if you prefer not being on video)
Not recorded :)
sound is really off - lots of echo and it seems to repeat bits
Sorry! Thanks for the feedback
We'll try to do better w/ audio next time around!!
Might be the network connection on the streaming machine - I forget what zoom uses behind the scenes, but artifacts sounded like what happens when repeated packets are sent using udp-based streaming services.
@ultimape it's so great to have you joining remotely btw
So I'm really interested in how we can improve the experience :)
