@ZetiX Yes, that's what I said.

Can anybody tell me how to get Komodo to color code YAML? The file association is correct for .yml and .yaml.
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
@bullsear it does already
Do you mean it's not highlighting it how you want it to be?
There isn't a lot to it so perhaps you're not seeing what you expect and thinking it's not working.
bullsear
@bullsear
@th3coop, it's all in black and white. The tab header shows the YAML icon, so the editor knows the document type.

@bullsear can you try adding comments and multi line string input? It might just be that highlighting isn't what you expect it to be.
bullsear
@bullsear
@th3coop that didn't change anything.
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
@bullsear screenshot please
Also, what version of Komodo?

@th3coop Komodo IDE, version 10.2.3, build 89902, platform macosx
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
I don't think that's a valid comment @bullsear
I could be wrong but I think they need to be on there own line
Either way, could you try something that looks like what i shared so we can at least figure out if syntax highlighting is working or not?
We can move on to reporting an issue with how Komodo parses yaml after we figure that out, if it's necessary

@th3coop Here is the same file in Komodo and Atom, with no comments.

@th3coop Here is something similar to your YAML. Only comments get color.
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
@bullsear the : is colored blue as well. You would see more if you added multi line string.
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
It looks like our yaml parser doesn't do a good job of parsing out keys and values though.

I've filed a bug to extend the yaml parser so it can do what you showed in Atom, distinguish between keys and values.
Komodo/KomodoEdit#3793

We use the Scintilla build in parser though, so we would have to rewrite it which won't be an easy win. Sorry to not have a proper fix for you.

@rocky48
Just got Kimodo Pro and was trying to change the mouse pointer, then somehow all the font went very small. Don't know what I did, but how do I make it bigger?
Rocky48
@rocky48
Sorry not Pro! Komodo IDE. uninstalled it and reinstalled but still small. Can't read what it says.
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
@rocky48 you can adjust font sizes for Komodo in either the Color scheme editor or Prefs
Menu Tools > Color Scheme Editor: In the drop down on the left side select either Editor then Font in the list below or Interface in the drop down and then Window in the list.
Or Edit menu > Preferences > Appearance and adjust font sizes there.
Rocky48
@rocky48
I eventually was able to change as you suggested. The problem was that the font was so small I could not read the screen
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
Without knowing what you were doing before the change it's hard to say how you ended up in that state @rocky48. If you recall more details, and if you're interested, we can dig in a bit. Glad we got you sorted out though.

@agroszer
haelp, where does the output of
const log = require("ko/logging").getLogger("commando-python-symbols") log.debug(uuid + " - Starting Scoped Search");
go? where can I check that?
OR
how to easily debug a commando module, like https://github.com/Defman21/commando-servers
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
@agroszer in the JS console you can run require("ko/logging").getLogger("commando-python-symbols").setLevel(10); and that will start dumping debug logging to Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File

Good day, I've install Komodo IDE 12 on Win 10. When prompted to sign in on the ActiveState Platform it fails with "Saving private key with: The system cannot find the path specified." Any advice or guidance to resolve this?
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
@bits-za Might be easier to dig into this in the forums https://community.komodoide.com/
Make sure you share which OS you're on.
bits-za
@bits-za
@th3coop its Win 10 x64.
i will have a look at the post, thanks.
bits-za
@bits-za
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18363.592]
There is no log file at
c:\Users\me\AppData\Local\ActiveState\Komodo IDE\ActiveState Komodo IDE 12\
I have Komodo IDE 11 installed as well and the login to ActiveState Platform works without a hitch.
Carey Hoffman
@th3coop
@bits-za i mean that you should create a post in the forums so we can dig in there.
bits-za
@bits-za
