Justin Edelson
@justinedelson
@bstopp is ch.qos.logback.classic.net exported from another bundle?
Bryan Stopp
@bstopp
it’s in Sling Commons Logging (Logback)
I’m double-checking they didn’t accidentally delete that one
Justin Edelson
@justinedelson
if they didn’t, you are likely running into GRANITE-8830 (an internal issue)
Bryan Stopp
@bstopp
oh?
that the random “can’t find this dep” bug?
Justin Edelson
@justinedelson
yup
Bryan Stopp
@bstopp
is the resolution to just delete the bundle and reinstall it?
the “failing” one?
Justin Edelson
@justinedelson
no, the workaround is to stop the org.eclipse.equinox.region bundle
Bryan Stopp
@bstopp
trying to get into the ticket
Justin Edelson
@justinedelson
it is listed in the SP1 release notes (https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/release-notes-sp1.html#Known Issues) but actually impacts GA and SP1 equally
Bryan Stopp
@bstopp
Thanks i’ll go through these steps and let you know.

hi, we have a problem where 404 pages from acs commons does not work on publishers, anyone else experience this?
david g.
@davidjgonzalez
@Doff3n_twitter nope - are you use its enabled and configured for the publish runmode?
@Doff3n_twitter also - can you qualify what “does not work” means?
Kristoffer Eckhoff
@Doff3n_twitter
"Does not work" means that users are not redirected to the custom 404 pages, but instead gets a default OOTB AEM error message: "No resource found"
RequestURI=/content/sitea/ena.html
Servlet= /apps/sling/servlet/errorhandler/404.jsp
Kristoffer Eckhoff
@Doff3n_twitter
how to enable it for publish mode?
The documentation here seems incomplete, or I am misunderstanding something: https://adobe-consulting-services.github.io/acs-aem-commons/features/errorpagehandler.html
david g.
@davidjgonzalez
@Doff3n_twitter can you check /apps/sling/servlet/errorhandler/404.jsp on the server and check to see its updated to include the acs-commons one?
also check to make sure that on your publish instance the ACS Commons - Error Page Handler component is active (under /system/console/components)
Kristoffer Eckhoff
@Doff3n_twitter
the error page handler component .ErrorPageHandlerImpl is satisfied, not active
under /system/console/components
Chris Lumpkin
@jakrabbit_twitter
Is there a tool in AEM Commons that will allow me to remove assets based on a query? Someone copied an author repo during a server move and accidentally published LOTS of deactivated assets. I can query them, now I want to get rid of them without hunting and pecking through DAM.
Kristoffer Eckhoff
@Doff3n_twitter
any idea @davidjgonzalez ?
@Doff3n_twitter
the error page handler component .ErrorPageHandlerImpl is satisfied, not active
under /system/console/components
david g.
@davidjgonzalez
@di
@Doff3n_twitter it ssounds like your /apps/sling/servlet/errorhandler/404.jsp may not have the include to the acs-commons 404.jsp? (likely same w default.jsp)
did you make that change in Crxde lite and not in the code base perhapps so it missed deplotment out to publish?
You should run through the setup steps in the docs on the publish instance and double check that all the required configs are in place. If they arent youll need to figure out why they didnt get promoted to Publish (they should all be part of your code pacakge).
@jakrabbit_twitter i dont think we have anything that does this. If this is a lower env, i would typically write a small Fiddle script (https://adobe-consulting-services.github.io/acs-aem-tools/features/aem-fiddle.html) and just delete the assets in batches of 1000.
if its production, you could do the same, but you’d want to be VERYYYYYY careful (test the fiddle script out, and then uninstall acs tools from prod when done) — ACS tools can be a bit too powerful to leave sitting around on Prod; we dont like to encourgage cowboy behavior :)
david g.
@davidjgonzalez
you could also look at using: https://github.com/badvision/curly
if you can get a list of paths to delete
krish0112
@krish0112
@justinedelson - Hi, Justin is there anyway to use your slack integration without acs aem commons bundle.
Justin Edelson
@justinedelson
@krish0112 the slack integration is unrelated to ACS AEM Commons
To me it seems like this method does not consider the possibility that the member of a group can also be a group. Nested groups if you will. The https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/ref/javadoc/com/day/cq/mailer/commons/AuthorizableGroupMailingList.html for example does "unfold" transitive members.
Is this a bug in ACS Commons or have I got this all wrong?
david g.
@davidjgonzalez

@jenslauterbach i dont think its a bug; the functionality is simply doesnt recurse into groups. A group itself can have an e-mail associated with it (ex. represent a mailing list).

I think you could argue for a more configurable API that allows to only look at users, only look at groups, and include transitive members.

Hello Everyone,
Does anybody know how I can make AEM(6.0) to return uploaded images (by using components) with SEO friendly name? for example I have a component and upload an image. but when I view the page the name of the image is completely changed. like my image name is Test Image.jpg i'm expecting AEM to return Test-Image.jpg but it returns 1463554385614.jpg

@davidjgonzalez
@mazimi101_twitter is this a questions about named image transform? Or just a general AEM q? general Q's are better served to be asked in the Adobe AEM forums
Milad Azimi
@mazimi101_twitter
@davidjgonzalez I'm not sure whether this can be achieved by using named image transform. I found a small workaround for now, that while component is loading the image I replace the suffix with the image name. I was hoping that there's something prebuilt in AEM.

Hi,

wdyt of extending httpcache and making it configurable in the Authoring UI ? In my vision this feature would work as follows: author selects a sub-tree of content and opens the Page Properties dialog. On the Advanced tab below Closed User Groups there is a section called Http Cache where you can enable caching and customize the properties.
Does this sound like a good idea for a patch ?

david g.
@davidjgonzalez
@YegorKozlov that sounds awesome :)
Yegor Kozlov
@YegorKozlov
@davidjgonzalez I started working on the patch
david g.
@davidjgonzalez
@YegorKozlov interested to see how this pans out .. are you “just” allowing an author to select the expiry method? (change event or time based?)
