@richa-coder you have sent pull request to master branch of your repository. please check https://github.com/richa-coder/Algo_Ds_Notes/pulls. Send PR to master branch of original repository. Thank you.

Hey, I feel like a lot of the C++ data structure implementations are really just C with new instead of malloc and std::cout instead of printf - see for example the binary searach tree. They also typically use global variables instead of proper encapsulation.

I'd like to work on some PRs to improve this. Just how "good" (i.e. advanced) should the C++ code be though? I feel like modern C++14 should make proper use of noexcept, move semantics, templates and constexpr. See jainaman224/Algo_Ds_Notes#239 for an example of what I mean.

It basically comes down to what the goal of this repo is. Just show an implementation in a given language, or an exemplary one?

Maybe it would be a good idea to have some good beginner C++ and some good advanced C++, actually. Since I feel like coding a little I'll just go ahead and write a beginner-friendly binary search tree without all the bells and whistles of modern C++ so we have a basis for discussion. Feel free to disregard the resulting PR if you're unhappy with it.

@mrwonko
Is there any interest in other programming languages? I'd enjoy writing some data structures in Haskell, for example.

@jainaman224
Yes please proceed. Write code in haskell. And help us improve c++ code. Thank you

Hi
Md Shahid
@dshahid380
Hello @jainaman224 sir! I am a competitive programmer and algorithm lover. I am interested in contributing in Algo_Ds_Notes. Can I upload some new algorithm which is not there in the list
Aman Jain
@jainaman224
Yes
@dshahid380 I apologies for the the delay.

Hello Everyone:)
@jainaman224 How long is this project scheduled and can be start it right now or in summers?
Aman Jain
@jainaman224
Hey, For RGSoC we are planning to create a web portal or testing framework. With a compulsory task of integration travis and code coverage tool.
You can contribute from now but official RGSoC starts later.
I would suggest you to have a look at repository.
You can suggest improvements. Work on some issues etc.
Ishika Hooda

@jainaman224 i am facing some problem with git( too many commits), i dont know how to remove this. But i will surely fix it up soon.

@jainaman224
Ok
Just have a look at squashing commits. You can refer https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5189560/squash-my-last-x-commits-together-using-git.

Hello @jainaman224 I would like to contribute to this repository for RGSOC. Can I start now? with what issues?
Aman Jain
@jainaman224
Hey Rita,
Welcome to the organisation. You can start by picking up any issue on GitHub which is unassigned or you can create an issue yourself.

Hii everyone!

I'm Shivansh, a CS Undergrad at IIIT Gwalior currently in my sophomore year. I would like to contribute to this project, but other than this I have an idea which I want to share with all of you, so what I was thinking that instead of just providing implementation of a particular DS/Algo if we can also provide some classical problems related to that topic which one can just jump into after learning that particular algorithm then it would be much more beneficial and especially for newbies who are rather confused like where to start with and what problems to solve then it would be a great help for them. What do you think @jainaman224 sir?
Harini
@Harini56900721_twitter
Hi! I'm Harini , 3rd year CS undergrad at IIITDM Kancheepuram. I'm excited to contribute to open source projects and hope to have an enriching learning experience. @jainaman224 I would love to work on issues #1552 and #1536 . I think this project will be very useful and informative to all CS students for their interview prep and college and would love to be a contributor to this project.

Janhavi Dadhania
@JanhaviDadhania
Hello everyone. I am janhavi from IIT Dharwad. I am in my second year of studies towards BTech in computer science and Engineering. @jainaman224 Sir, I have been working and researching on various VRP problems and their solutions. VRP problems are of great interest to researchers and that is why I feels it would be great if we could add VRP algorithms to this project. We currently( in this project ) have travelling salesman problem implemented in c++. I could add few other algorithms to solve VRP which includes ant-algorithm, tabu search, various sequencial clustering algorithms, branch-bound algorithm in c++ and python. In my opinion it would be great to create separate folder for VRP problems. @jainaman224 @/all it would be great to have your inputs on the same.
Aman Jain
@jainaman224
Hi
I would like to have these algorithms.
