Took this starter and converted it to typescript - had to give up on the gulp stuff as I was not entirely sure what was going on there ... and relied on webpack entirely... Maybe an angular-class/typescript-starter could be interesting

@FredericLatour can you elaborate more on the gulp stuff ? are you talking about the generators?

@gdi2290 No, what I was meaning is that during the process of trying to convert this starter to typescript, I was not able to make sense of what was going on in the gulp build process (due to my own lack of knowledge) ... I decided rely on webpack only. Seemed just simpler to me. I didn't want to spend too much time trying to adapt the gulp file while I was not even sure I would succeed in converting this to typescript...
That said after trying to build an app using this approach ... I'm hitting a wall. It sounds like it's not possible to handle "resolve" (ui-router) approach into a directive controller ...

Maybe that's me and maybe loading async data should be handled in a different way than the easy teenage ui-router resolve way ...

One thing that comes to mind is that maybe I should handle async data loading within the controller and have the user interface display some indication that things are loading ...
Would be very interested in having your take on this...
