@fesor No worries, at the time it seemed something was off and I was running out of options, when in fact I was running a different version of my code. (and was probably too tired).

images are under ./assets/img
i.e. <img src='/assets/img/logo.png'> -> not found

A bit confusing, I haved managed to work it out, and eventually loaded the image in a controller constructor like: this.logo = require("./../../../../assets/img/logo.png");
and <img src="{{ vm.logo }}"/>

How did any of you resolved the issue with using images in your application without always: having to require it on a per controller basis, using relative paths?
