Having some trouble with the starter app. I've done some local modifications, but whenever I restart the app with 'gulp serve', it crashes when trying to load the Common-module. If I remove one of the submodules (i.e. Navbar) from the common module, it runs OK. If I add the submodule back in, it also runs OK. At this stage, the code is exactly the same as when I ran it the first time. This is done when gulp serve is running and is continuosly building the app. If I restart the process, the same problem reoccurs. Has anyone seen this problem before and know how to fix it?

Having some trouble with adding images?
It's not getting loaded as a folder
Nesiri Doenzo
@nesiri
Do I need to modify the gulpfile to include the images?
Nesiri Doenzo
@nesiri
@icylabsDev have you solved this issue?
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@nesiri you should use file-loader and url-loader I think. This is webpack issue, and you should modify webpack.config.js

Hi, is this the way to use compile with the components ? Not sure how it relates to the directive api ..
let homeComponent = {
  restrict: 'E',
  bindings: {},
  template,
  controller,
  controllerAs: 'vm',
  compile: function compile(tElement, tAttrs, transclude) {
    return {
      pre: function preLink(scope, iElement, iAttrs, controller) {
      },
      post: function postLink(scope, iElement, iAttrs, controller) {

Oh nvm ^^, just realized this boiler uses the .component method.

hi it any one can answer - if I try simple replace component "home"(from the starter ) to "homeApp" app is not working - any reason ? , what I can miss on that simply replacing - any idea ??
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@phil-lgr can you provide more details why do you need compile function?
Nesiri Doenzo
@nesiri
alright thanks @fesor!
another issue i've experienced for JSPM version is when i've built the app and tried to serve it, i'm getting the ff error
Error: [$injector:unpr] Unknown provider: tProvider <- t
This is only on the minified version
Using app.js instead of app.min.js works well
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@nesiri you should annotate your injectables (by hand or using ngAnnotate)
Nesiri Doenzo
@nesiri
@fesor thanks! that solved it

anyone have working version of Modal with "angular-ui-bootstrap"?
Luis Naia
@darkbls
Hi all, I'm having an issue with trying to use a directive that is restricted to 'A'. Works fine if it is of type element, but not attribute or class. Any ideas why?
Luis Naia
@darkbls
got it nvmd
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@adica yep, everything like in docs.
@darkbls can you provide more details?
adi carmel
@adica
@fesor tnx for your replay. do you mean docs of "angular-ui-bootstrap"?
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@adica yep
adi carmel
@adica
@fesor i saw this example: plunker ,
but they use it with "<script type="text/ng-template">" and without component approach
adi carmel
@adica
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@adica there is nothing wrong with inline templates, and you can yous whatever you like inside.
Luis Naia
@darkbls
@fesor No worries, at the time it seemed something was off and I was running out of options, when in fact I was running a different version of my code. (and was probably too tired).
however I do have a somewhat different question, how do I use images with the ng6 starter and webpack? This is my corrent webpack config: https://gist.github.com/darkbls/48df72d35ed20ccd16386c2c964356bf
Luis Naia
@darkbls
images are under ./assets/img
i.e. <img src='/assets/img/logo.png'> -> not found
Luis Naia
@darkbls
A bit confusing, I haved managed to work it out, and eventually loaded the image in a controller constructor like: this.logo = require("./../../../../assets/img/logo.png");
and <img src="{{ vm.logo }}"/>
Luis Naia
@darkbls
How did any of you resolved the issue with using images in your application without always: having to require it on a per controller basis, using relative paths?
Andrew Lombardi
@kinabalu
hey where would I put images and things that I wanted to reference in my code?
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@kinabalu whereever you want
read documentation for file-loader and url-loader
Andrew Lombardi
@kinabalu
@fesor i guess what I’m asking though, is this something special that has to be put into the webpack?
or is it already in there and I just have to create an images directory or whatever
Andrew Lombardi
@kinabalu
@fesor i read, thanks

anyone know if it's possible to import things like less, sass, assets.. in .js files using Browserify instead of Webpack?
I have a really nice project setup and now I'm being told I can't use Webpack, only Browserify, and believe me I've put up a fight but to no avail.
used to use Browserify but never in an angular 1.5 component style app where the associated .styl and template are included using ES2015 imports.
