anyone know if it's possible to import things like less, sass, assets.. in .js files using Browserify instead of Webpack?
I have a really nice project setup and now I'm being told I can't use Webpack, only Browserify, and believe me I've put up a fight but to no avail.
used to use Browserify but never in an angular 1.5 component style app where the associated .styl and template are included using ES2015 imports.

Hey all after cloning ng6 and installing deps, I'm seeing this error trying to run any gulp tasks:
'''
ERROR in ./~/css-loader!./~/stylus-loader!./client/app/app.styl
Module build failed: TypeError: /Users/dl/dev/ng6/client/app/app.styl:4:1
1| .app
2| height 100%
3| background-color $lightBgColor
4|
------^

Path must be a string. Received undefined
'''

any ideas? never used webpack/stylus before, so a bit lost here...

@fesor
This is strange
denlab
@denlabs
ah, it looks like stylus-loader 1.x.x not working well with stylus 0.54, bumping stylus-loader to ^2.0.0 seems to fix it
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@denlabs good to know. Probably I should fix dependency issue. Thanks.
denlab
@denlabs
@fesor np, but fyi, I included a dep for stylus in my package.json too "stylus": "^0.54.5",

Best way to add in ngprogress?

@okosowski
Hi everyone, maybe you can help me, I'm trying to add the entire bootstrap-styl in a clean NG6-starter
I thought that the easiest way is to add something like "import 'bootstrap-style'" to app.js but it does't work at all :( .
in this way I can import only specific files css / style
What is the best way to add bootstrap-styl to project (so that I can ask bootstrap variables in my styles)
Oskar Kosowski
@okosowski
anyone ?

Hi!
Anyone had any luck deploying ng6-starter to heroku?
nikita-bosenko
@nikita-bosenko
Hey everyone! Could you please check out this question and give me a piece of advice?:) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/37809551/how-to-change-navbar-template-on-state-change
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@michaeb what the problem?
Craig Shearer
@craigsh
I'm having problems with the jspm version. I've set up a clean version from the download of the zip, run npm install and jspm update. When I refresh the site with the Chrome dev tools open it stops on an exception in es6.promise.js
Iterator result undefined is not an object
Craig Shearer
@craigsh
I've tried this on a completely separate machine, installed from scratch and it also fails there.
Manoel Freitas
@manoeljosefneto
HELLO GUYS \O/ i'm start to using the ng6-jspm-starter, my question is, does anyone is using it?
Oskar Kosowski
@okosowski
@laedanthehuman It nice to discover how you can write the code. But for commercial project I
suggests write all from zero :)
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@okosowski well... I use ng6-starter in commercial projects, but with webpack
and it tuned for my needs
Manoel Freitas
@manoeljosefneto
@fesor how did you tuned your projects?
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@laedanthehuman less instead of stylus, bootstrap by default, uiRouter 1.0 beta, component as single file (i.e. template + controller + component definition in a dingle js file).
I don't use templateUrl since it allows developers to build large HTML and putting it into js file forces to keep templates small
Manoel Freitas
@manoeljosefneto
@fesor wow, cool i get sass instead of stylus, but i'm don't get bootstrap by default yet
@fesor how do u get that ?
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@laedanthehuman just installed)
Manoel Freitas
@manoeljosefneto
npm install bootstrap o.O
or bootstrap loader ?
Sergey Protko
@fesor
  • angular-ui-bootstrap + less loader + configure file/url loader to correctly handle icons
Manoel Freitas
@manoeljosefneto
just instaled right ?
Manoel Freitas
@manoeljosefneto
hummm, i see
Hamed Nourhani
@hamednourhani
hi must i use socket.io alongside angular to connect server socket or there is a builltin functionality with ng?
Sergey Protko
@fesor
@hamednourhani nothing builtin, use socket-io
@nikita-bosenko or one of adapter for angular
Demetri Ganoff
@dganoff
Anyone here able to answer a quick question about nesting components with ng6-starter out of the box?
Demetri Ganoff
@dganoff
More specifically I'm wondering at what point do I simply add components to an Angular module rather than create a new Angular module? For example, when I use the gulp component task to create a module and want to add more components related (nested) to that module... Would I simply create aNestedComponent.component.js instead of creating a new Angular module using gulp component --name aNestedComponent
Demetri Ganoff
@dganoff
Anyone?... :)
