hi! can anyone help me out with bootstrap fonts and webpack? have a prj based on webpack-starter and use glyphicons inside buttons. but the icons do not show up. instead getting 404 for these requests:

GET http://192.168.1.2:3000/node_modules/bootstrap/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.woff2
GET http://192.168.1.2:3000/node_modules/bootstrap/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.woff
GET http://192.168.1.2:3000/node_modules/bootstrap/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.ttf

I have loaders setup like this:

{test: /\.less$/, loader: 'raw-loader!less-loader'},
      {test: /\.(png|jpg|gif)$/, loader: 'file-loader'},
      //{ test: /\.(png|woff|woff2|eot|ttf|svg)$/, loader: 'url-loader?limit=100000' }
      {
        test: /\.woff(\?v=\d+\.\d+\.\d+)?$/,
        loader: "url?limit=10000&minetype=application/font-woff"
      }, {
        test: /\.woff2(\?v=\d+\.\d+\.\d+)?$/,
        loader: "url?limit=10000&minetype=application/font-woff"
      }, {
        test: /\.ttf(\?v=\d+\.\d+\.\d+)?$/,
        loader: "url?limit=10000&minetype=application/octet-stream"
      }, {
        test: /\.eot(\?v=\d+\.\d+\.\d+)?$/,
        loader: "file"
      }, {
        test: /\.svg(\?v=\d+\.\d+\.\d+)?$/,
        loader: "url?limit=10000&minetype=image/svg+xml"

I cloned, ran the npm install directions. Then I hooked up with my browser to 3000. And there is no app folder in devtools. No way to debug the app. How is this useful?

I like PrimeNg more than Material 2, more widgets and more configurable ones.

Anyone had trouble running a production build with materialize materialize.js:238 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot convert undefined or null to object ?
Btw it's working in dev mode, the weirdest is that i havent touched the webpack.dev neither the webpack.prod
vouill
@vouill
@vouill The issue was coming from the minified code of main.js . unminifiying it made it work

hey everyone! I forgot how are we including assets in dist?

I am trying to deploy an Angular2 Webpack app to AWS using putty and winscp. I am kinda lost/confused as to how to transfer the webpack to the aws server. Would appreciate greatly if anyone could point me in some direction! Thanks
Paul van den Berg
@bergvandenp
@Nyctohylophobia the result of a webpack build is a js file. It's only that js file that you need to send to aws, right/
?
Sean Larkin
@TheLarkInn
It can also emit additional static assets

hi! I built the proj for production and I see it sends from requests every 2 sec. where is this coming from and why?
KC
@Nyctohylophobia
@bergvandenp @TheLarkInn Yeah, after running build on the webpack, there is an assets folder and several .js .map files. Do I transfer these files directly to AWS?
Sean Larkin
@TheLarkInn
Well yeah, I think there actually is a S3 webpack plugin
That you can use
KC
@Nyctohylophobia
@TheLarkInn I am using EC2 but thanks alot for the help. It worked!

Hi all! I'm trying to access a function in an external JS file (untyped), in my home component. First I’ve imported the file into vendor.ts with the import 'assets/js/agglinechart.js’; statement. The agglinechart.js basically contains a giant aggLineChart function (function aggLineChart() {.... }). How do I access this function within the home component environment? Would really appreciate your help..

How to add font-awesome in the project. Can any one please help me out?
Eric Kisner
@exk0730
@mshahin364 I'm not sure if this is the correct way, but I downloaded the font-awesome sass library, put all of the _*.scss files into the app/styles directory, then I put the .otf, .svg, .woff, etc etc font files into assets/fonts directory
then you need to change _variables.scss: $fa-font-path to be whatever the relative path to assets/fonts is
@alvipeo I'm having the same problems..... couldn't get any help from the angular2 gitter chat either
