Is anyone successfully running unit tests with the new Forms API and angular2-webpack-starter? It does not work for me (AngularClass/angular2-webpack-starter#791).

Anybody know how to update angular2-webpack-starter in exising project?

@elvisbegovic
hi
Elvis Begović
@elvisbegovic

i think the actual problem with google repo angular2-seed whose implement webpack is that the npm run build, build us all js compiled to /dist and no index.html no /css in separated file ... all is in bundle js but we do not have index.html in this /dist

and I think angularclass's repo is very good but too complexe for the beginner

I nedd angular2 + webpack with simple example webpack config of angularclass but other and not more from google repo angular2-seed

is this logical reaction or not :)

Hi, anyone got a webpack config working for ng-sematic with angular2 RC4 ?
binarious
@binarious
@aider_twitter I'm doing it manually. I'm adding the last git hash to the description of my package.json and do a diff (e. g. https://github.com/AngularClass/angular2-webpack-starter/compare/ddec25a...master where ddec25a was the git hash of my last update). If you haven't modified the webpack configs like me then you could download the diff and apply it, but I haven't tried it.

Hi, what is the recommended procedure for periodically updating the starter project? we've downloaded the starter 2 months ago and since developed much. Now we'd like to update our starter + NG2 packages. How would you recommend to perform that? I assume that npm-update wont be enough since the starter has webpack definitions, etc

Hey. How can I use assets/styles sass variables on component level sass files?

Hello! I want to try out .net core, but am a big fan of the AngularClass webpack-starter. Would it be difficult to adapt your starter kit to make use of .net core?
There's a decent guide here for getting started with .net core and angular2 boilerplate, however it is without other preconfigured tools such as a karma-jasmine http://blog.stevensanderson.com/2016/05/02/angular2-react-knockout-apps-on-aspnet-core/

Ah in the meantime, I discovered this repo. Might be better for me to use instead: https://github.com/asadsahi/AspNetCoreSpa

I've installed both @types for bootstrap and jquery, but keep getting this error: Property 'carousel' does not exist on type 'JQuery'. Is there something I should include to $('.carousel').carousel()?

@vivdkool What command are you running? lib, strictNullChecks, baseUrl, and types were fields that were all added to the tsconfig.json with the upgrade to TS 2.0. There are known issues in running certain commands like typedoc as the associated repository has not yet been updated to TS 2.0.

@mhheise i didn't run anything i am using webstorm and when i open about.ts file encountered this
Matt Heise
@mhheise
@vivdkool Try updating your TypeScript version in WebStorm. In the default settings dialog go to Languages & Frameworks -> TypeScript -> Check "Enable TypeScript Compiler" -> Click "Edit" -> Select "Custom directory" -> Point to your custom install directory (here, this will be %YOUR_PROJECT_ROOT%/node_modules/typescript/lib) -> Select "OK". Alternatively, you can use VS Code and follow the steps I outlined AngularClass/angular2-webpack-starter#781.
If you are okay upgrading to a newer version, WebStorm 2016.2 appears to have TS 2.0 support as well, and that may be an easier path for you to take.

Hi I've started to use this awesome starterkit. I'm having some trouble with appState. After I hint F5, all state is deleted.
How can I keep appState between page refreshes?
Joe
@foxjazz
one of the things that should be fixed before release is that if a templateUrl has errors, there needs to be a way to notify developer of those errors, either in the debug window, or something.

@mhheise I just got web storm yesterday for my mac. The windows version runs clunky, doesn’t feel smooth. Maybe my mac processor is faster which is why it feels smoother.
