Hi, can anyone help me with how to include external css and js files in the starter kit?
Rishi Raj
@rishiraj824
Is this the right command to host your dist files on your github-pages ng build --prod --base-href "https://USERNAME.github.io/REPOSITORY/" angular-cli-ghpages I'm using angular-cli-ghpages. I have a custom-domain and I don't know it doesn't use the branch gh-pages as well, and nothing is being updated even after a successful deployment.
Would be nice to get some assistance

What is the + before the folder name for?
Mark Oliver
@invegat
They are trying to show the loadChildren routes, for this route "{ path: 'detail', loadChildren: './+detail#DetailModule' }, " all the rest of the application know is that the module is in
the "+detail" directory and the class name is "DetailModule" The child routes aren't imported anywhere are not in app.module.ts.

Hi! I have q question. How can use d3 library? o d3-cloud https://github.com/jasondavies/d3-cloud ? how can I include in the project? Thanks
Dan Cancro
@dancancro
Hi all. I'm new to this project and wondering what is the current status or will to bring this into alignment with angular-cli. Now that angular-cli offers an "eject" feature that gives you config access, it seems the impediments to convergence are dwindling.
Dan Cancro
@dancancro
Also, would any of you experts in this starter like to contribute your knowledge about it to the database? I can then add it to reports like this one: https://github.com/dancancro/great-big-angular2-example/tree/fixauth-famn#demonstrations-and-features

Ask, angular2-websocket support IPv6 access?

hi! i want to enable the strictNullChecks however when i do so, i get errors at the node_modules
Ritwik Banerjee
@ritwbanerjee
whats your code like?
can you gimme an example
Amer Ghalayini
@singetak
i just ran the template i get errors node_modules/@angular/form, i have no added code
Ritwik Banerjee
@ritwbanerjee
what template
Amer Ghalayini
@singetak
angular2-webpack-starter
i just cloned angular2-webpack-starter and ran it, but enabled strictNullChecks
Amer Ghalayini
@singetak
i believe i shouldn't get errors in the node_modules, cause i have it in the exclude in the configuration. so i need to figure out why the exclude not working
Ritwik Banerjee
@ritwbanerjee
and what does the error say?
Amer Ghalayini
@singetak
node_modules/@angular/core/src/util/decorators.d.ts:11:5
TS2411: Property 'extends' of type 'Type<any> | undefined' is not assignable to string index type 'Function | any[] | Type<any>'.
node_modules/@angular/forms/src/model.d.ts:378:27
TS2459: Type '{ onlySelf?: boolean | undefined; emitEvent?: boolean | undefined; emitModelToViewChange?: boolea...' has no property 'onlySelf' and no string index signature.
Ritwik Banerjee
@ritwbanerjee
with strictNullChecks - you cannot have type as any
Amer Ghalayini
@singetak
i know
but this a library in node_modules
so the problem in my code is that the tsconfig is not excluding node_modules folder when applying the configuration
Ritwik Banerjee
@ritwbanerjee
did you try exclude: [path.resolve(__dirname, '../node_modules’)]
in webpack
Amer Ghalayini
@singetak
aha will try it thanks
Ritwik Banerjee
@ritwbanerjee
np :-)
Amer Ghalayini
@singetak
@ritwbanerjee i have tried what you suggested, didn't work for me. At the end i added "skipDefaultLibCheck": true,
"skipLibCheck": true, to the tsconfig.webpack.json

Hello, Im very new to Angular and webpack so I'm pretty sure i'm missing something. I tried your angular2-webpack-starter and I'm not sure what the end results looks like but its not working for me. In the same folder I installed angular 2 and I was able to access the page via 192.168.0.16:3000 and it worked!!! when I installed(fresh install)angular2-webpack-starter everything seems to be working or compiled fine but when i ran sudo npm start at the end it states webpack:comiled successfully. tried 192.168.0.16:3000 i get a page not found message,

Hello
I am trying to load less file from component but I am getting error You may need an appropriate loader to handle this file type. Can anyone help me?
i have added less and less-loader in package.json
        /*
         * raw and less loader support for *.less files (from Angular components)
         * Returns compiled css content as string
         *
         */
        {
          test: /\.less$/,
          use: ['to-string-loader', 'css-loader', 'less-loader'],
          exclude: [helpers.root('src', 'styles')]
        },
have also added this
using angular2-webpack-starter
Mark Oliver
@invegat
Stylus is much more powerful, easier to work with, and has more free plugins than Less. {
test: /.styl$/,
use: ['to-string-loader', 'css-loader', 'stylus-loader']
},
Mark Oliver
@invegat
To use any new extension in addition to the loader add to this line in "resolve" extensions: ['.ts', '.js', '.json', '.styl', '.pug'],
Mark Oliver
@invegat
The Less file handling above is being suppressed for handling later with 'webpack.prod.js' or 'webpack.test.js' by the "exclude" for all files in the 'src' or 'styles' directories. Your code is from 'webpack.common.js'
