    Note that in this case all the content must be read fully in memory, even if you used getResponseBodyAsStream() method on returned Response object.
    And I checked their codebase, too, just in case the doc is outdated. And that affirms the case. Out of the box, it does not support streaming.
    Play's WS, though, does have that coded. So I think that's a good candidate. It also makes the transition easier later when they switch to akka-http|stream. The current WS uses Ning underneath, but adds response body streaming, which is really nice. It also fits the Enumerator-Iteratee very nicely.

    I think for now, the new method will just return an Enumerator[CypherResultRow], which fits into the rest of Play. That can then streamed directly via Status to the client. Mapping from CPR to other stuff should be pretty straight-forward. Anyway, I hope to finish up before the week is over :)

    I will add the PlayWS on a child branch from there ... then if we like it, I will send a pull request from the merged branch. Cheers!

    Cool! I missed some of these last updates.

    Heya, I just asked Wes to build AnormCypher with scala 2.10 again, I wanted to do some spark-neo4j integration demoing :)
    Eve Freeman
    @freeeve
    We do have a maven central org and stuff now. I should probably try to get 1.0 at least on that...
    Michael Hunger
    @jexp
    ah, neat!

    @Kai-Chen
    I checked in a solution for streaming Enumerator[CypherResultRow] in the branch https://github.com/AnormCypher/AnormCypher/tree/feat-cypher-rest-iteratee. I will write down my thoughts in the Google Groups thread that I started.
    Also, there is an issue with Play 2.4 that about 3 people have commented on (not including me)

    @jexp How did the spark-neo4j demo go? I'm doing some consulting work on Spark right now, and am thinking about providing a spark DataFrame from a neo4j source. It'd be neat if neo4j supports it out of the box ... I mean it would definitely save me some work :P

    Hey,

    Is it me or _2.10-0.6.0 has executeAsync() while _2.11-0.6.0 does not?

    It this expected?

    @freeeve
    @vlfig I built 2.10-0.6.0 as a one off for MH. I thought I had the 0.6.0 checkout. Hmm.

    Hi, Wes,
    Any comment on issue #44
    AnormCypher/AnormCypher#44
    I've outlined some ideas in my comment. Let me know what you think and which route you'd like to take.

    doesnt NeoNode object also return the outgoing_relationships/outgoing_typed_relationships
    Kamaldeep Singh
    @kamaldsingh
    how can you get the node object along with all the relationships like we do when we make a rest query for that node ?

    The relationships are mapped using NeoRelationship. You'd use Cypher to return all the relationships. If you want them in a list, you'd run
    match (n:criteria)-[r]-() return n, collect(r) as links;

    or if you want one row for each relationship, simply

    match (n:criteria)-[r]-() return n,r

    then use (NeoNode, NeoRelationship) to map the rows. HTH.

    thanks

    @kamaldsingh
    anyone know the java process doesnt terminate after it returns the results from the cypher query
    Kai Chen
    @Kai-Chen
    @kamaldsingh you need to call close() on the WS client. If you are doing it in the console, take a look at build.sbt's console set up in the AnormCypher project.
    AnormCypher 0.9.0 just released with support for transaction, details here https://github.com/AnormCypher/AnormCypher/releases/tag/0.9.0

    Anything else anyone would like to add before we can do a formal 1.0 release? I've got pretty much all the features I need for myself.

    hi @freeve, thanks for your response... can you try accessing: http://repo.anormcypher.org/org/anormcypher/anormcypher_2.11/0.9.0/anormcypher_2.11-0.9.0.pom please?

    wonder if it's a dns thing, what IP is resolving
    should be 50.116.56.111

    Hmm I doubt its a dns issue, as I can navigate to the repository. I can get as far as choosing the scala version and anormcypher version, but it does not initiate the download of the actual jar / pom
    Ill try using a proxy and see what happens
    Eve Freeman
    @freeeve
    huh
    does your browser use a proxy?
    Swayam Narain
    @swayam18
    no, it doesn't .... I can reach http://repo.anormcypher.org/org/anormcypher/anormcypher_2.11/0.9.0/ but any other links timeout
    I just used a proxy server to download successfully though o_o
