I'm just having a quick look at this from my phone in bed so it might be more, let me know if that works for you
And sorry for my typos, I'm not English and had ro turn off auto correct on my phone 😂
Luca Candela
@CaliLuke
Thats I've done. I dont think its the issue.
And me neither btw but i understand you fine
lpkampen
@lpkampen
And you added ansible_nas_email to your file also?
Pretty sure i needed that too
And dont use rhe global api key, you should make a dedicated one
lpkampen
@lpkampen
Btw did you set logging for traefik to debug to see what fails?
lpkampen
@lpkampen
at the end of your traefik.toml file there should be something like this:
[certificatesResolvers]
[certificatesResolvers.letsencrypt]
[certificatesResolvers.letsencrypt.acme]
email = "post@email.com"
storage = "/letsencrypt/acme.json"
caserver = "https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/directory"
  [certificatesResolvers.letsencrypt.acme.dnsChallenge]
    provider = "cloudflare"
    resolvers = "1.1.1.1:53, 1.0.0.1:53"
change that email to your cloudflare email
btw is your traefik/letsencrypt/acme.json correct?

hey everybody. Just installed Ansible-Nas on my ubuntu server. I enabled plex in my nas.yml file but I can not access the webinterface. Portainer says the container is running and I didn't changed any configuration. So I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong? I hope somebody can help me :)
LazLit0
@LazLit0
so I found out so far, that the docker container is running from plex but it doesn't have an ip nor a port set. does it has to do something with traeffik?
LazLit0
@LazLit0
I still stuck with the Plex docker container. Ansible installs it only with a warning for swap limit's not being supported by my kernel. As I read about it, it doesn't affect the container. Portainer shows the plex container but it's the only container without an ip nor a port. I looked up the ansible role and found that the port actually should be set to 32400 but it's somehow through traeffic. I tried to enable traeffic but I couldn't enter traeffic for the same reason plex is not enterable. Did I forgot to enable something or set something correct?

I have the feeling it has something to do with the bridge and host network. As I read in the linuxserver documentation this should be solved by adding plex_version: "docker", what is set in the ansible role by default.

hey guys, im strugling with setting up zfs properly for torrents and stuff. i have ubuntu server and ansible installed normally on a 1 tb ssd, then i have 2 1tb hdd set in zfs, this is second reinstall because i cant figure it out. I made the test zfs filesystems downloads and movies from instalation guide, and linked them to downloads_root and movies_root in all.yml. when i open these folder from samba on my linux it shows empty space properly, 980gbs for downloads and movies and 860gb for other folders which are still linked to ssd. Now my question is when i try to get my apps to download to zfs storage i just cannot figure it out. i installed deluge, and if set to download to /downloads it downloads to ssd and i cannot find the torrent downloaded in samba, even if i set download location directly to tank/downloads it still does the same. is there any special trick to make it torrent directly to zfs storage?
luka murn
@lumux:matrix.org
[m]
or should i go with transmission and use torrent_root?
luka murn
@lumux:matrix.org

lol transmission works pefectly without a single problem, it was the last of the torrent programs i tried
now i need to figure out how i can delete files from my zfs samba folders, i can move in and out files without issues, but when i try to delete it says no permission

Install keeps hanging on enable universe repo and I certainly do have it enabled. On 22.04 ubuntu. Not sure if there are docs that can help here? Also had to remove all my extra shared I wanted to add. They kepr popping errors even though the context was the same as the entries for SMB shares that did end up taking.

I upgraded and restarted my server recently, timemachine isn't working. I get a mysterious error: Time Machine can’t connect to the backup disk. OSStatus error -1073741275.

I don't see any message in the logs for the container. Searching on that error in google brings up nothing specific. Anybody else see this before?

do the enabled containers not start automatically?

For a while now, my external access using a custom domain stopped working. I never really took the time to fix it as it wasn't really needed for my setup. Lately though, I added certain services that would really benefit having external access (such as home assistant for instance).
But, I can't for the life of me get it back up and running...
Traefik is showing "no providers" on its homepage (yet I don't know if that's normal or not).
I followed the "external access page" in the documentation again, set all the stuff that I want access to in my config to 'externally_accessible: "true"', doublechecked my old domain records and it still has a * record to the external ip of my router.
Even went and changed the nameservers to cloudflare now and set the cloudflare_ddns thing to "true" as well.
No luck...
Tim Geerts
@TimGeerts
For reference, the logs show these kind of errors (sometimes for 80, for 443 and for 8083):
traefik.go:78: command traefik error: error while building entryPoint traefik: error preparing server: error opening listener: listen tcp :8083: bind: address already in use
allthestairs
@allthestairs
Traefik should show the Docker provider. If it can't see the Docker provider, it can't see your containers, and can't set up access for them. I'm not sure how you see the dashboard if it can't bind to :8083. Makes it sound like you have multiple Traefik servers running that are interfering with each other.
Tim Geerts
@TimGeerts
It seems to be exactly that. I can stop the container I see in Portainer, yet can still access the ui...
If I stop/kill the container, there's still a 'traefik' running and listening to those ports. If I kill that PID, it just pops back up under another process....?!
allthestairs
@allthestairs
Do something like ps -x --forest to see what is creating it.
or pstree
Tim Geerts
@TimGeerts
Thanks, not able to access my server any time soon, but I'll try those commands asap
Tim Geerts
@TimGeerts
ps -x --forest doesn't show me any info on traefik running. pstreejust shows ─containerd-shim─┬─traefik───13*[{traefik}] which to me as a linux noob doesn't really help me determine what is causing that extra traefik instance to be running
Tim Geerts
@TimGeerts
psfaux gives me the parent process being
/snap/docker/1779/bin/containerd-shim-runc-v2 -namespace moby -id 8514b80721349e671cd4d1ddb135f384f59c192b9d503a86fc86ff8087b61e83 -addressyet, I don't know if I should just go ahead and kill that one without knowing what it actually is
Tim Geerts
@TimGeerts
Well, killed it anyway, reran the playbook, traefik is now working. I'm getting errors for letsencrypt and cloudflare though, but hey, it's a step in the right direction...
Tim Geerts
@TimGeerts
Ok, on to the next issue...
Finally got traefik to work (or so I thought), but now letsencrypt seems to just never get a cert for my domains...
time="2022-08-02T21:35:57Z" level=debug msg="No ACME certificate generation required for domains [\"my-domain.be\" \"*.my-domain.be\"]." ACME CA="https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/directory" providerName=letsencrypt.acme
Any reason why it feels it shouldn't generate a certificate? Looking in the acme.jsonfile I do have one in there, in the default store, so I thought "hey, it's not generating one because there is one available here".
But browsing to my https://sonarr.my-domain.be/ doesn't work, and I just get an error showing something like ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.....
Tim Geerts
@TimGeerts
Just to followup, for anyone that hits this wall too, I managed to fix it all and reinstate my https external access with traefik and letsencrypt.
  • I had to update ansible-nas (git pull) because I had a version that didn't copy over the cloudflare_token(older version still used api stuff, not the bearer token).
  • Then I had to change a setting on cloudflare itself because I kept getting too many redirects errors (SSL/TLS encryption mode has to be set to Full, not Flexible).
    Then everything started working again.
    Pfew, on to the next obstacle, if any ;)
Oh, and as a bonus for those people enabling external access to homeassistant, you'll have to add some lines to the configuration.yaml file there too.
