@SmitTheTux_gitlab i even have nuget package which works in a narrow set of configurations https://www.nuget.org/packages/rbfx.Urho3DNet/

@SmitTheTux_gitlab
@rokups it doesn't look that much dead. I am coming from Godot (Its performance is low for my needs as I am targeting smartphones ). is it production ready ?
Alex Fuller
@boberfly
oof 8th march last commit, sounds dead
Rokas Kupstys
@rokups
@SmitTheTux_gitlab depends on how you look at it. people made games with atomic which is by no means production-ready. on the other hand this is a fork of urho3d (like atomic) and urho3d is production-ready. if you are willing to fill in the blanks you can definitely make games with either.
@boberfly i was committing yesterday! replacing custom containers with eastl :trollface:

Hi
I don't remember what that room was for

Alan
@Alan-FGR
What room? :trollface:

@Guard16
Hello, I use Unity to develop my games, but I am curious about your 3D emulation support for Android devices since Unity has some problems when switching Cameras in the game.
Alan
@Alan-FGR
What do you mean by emulation do you mean like software rendering?
As far as I know OpenGL emulation is on the firmware / drivers nothing to do with the the engine
Alex Fuller
@boberfly
or build software mesa to bundle with it
Tail Wag Games
@zacharycarter
Haven't people been saying that for years now about godot?

For anyone still interested in using Atomic Engine, I've had trouble finding the API since the atomic game engine website was shut down. However, this site still lives on way back machine. The Atomic API can be found here: https://web.archive.org/web/20171015214055/http://docs.atomicgameengine.com/api/modules/atomic.html
Rokas Kupstys
@rokups
Or if you want a maintained alternative check out https://github.com/rokups/rbfx
webnetweaver
@webnetweaver
@rokups I've never seen this. Is there much difference between Atomic and your alternative?
Rokas Kupstys
@rokups
Both are based on urho3d, both support c# (although it is more extensive in rbfx). Editor is much better. And it is very WIP. Oh and no js support and there will be none
webnetweaver
@webnetweaver
Nice!

@kannsokusha

When i build for web,i got this

but web do not build "kNet"? I need help...

Rokas Kupstys
@rokups
this project is no longer maintained
kannsokusha
@kannsokusha
I really regret it
I'm sorry
losemry
@losemry
is anybody there ?
I want to use Atomic, but without documentation, I have a hard time learning
Can you tell me where the documentation is? Thank you
Actually, I don't want to learn Atomic either, but our boss wants to modify it
It may seem crazy, but it's true
Alex Fuller
@boberfly
it might be better to look into urho3d or rbfx as they are still being developed
losemry
@losemry
@boberfly I can't help my boss's decision
Does anyone have the document of Atomic API? Can you send a copy to my email? Thank you very much
Corey Martin
@nefD
lol wat, your boss wants you to modify a game engine that hasn't been touched in two years? why?
losemry
@losemry
He thought it would work
He thinks we can modify it
Corey Martin
@nefD
afaik there aren't any docs that aren't readily accessible, so whatever you see in the github repo is what is available
losemry
@losemry
No API documentation can be found on GitHub, just a brief introduction
Corey Martin
@nefD
losemry
@losemry
http://ww7.atomicgameengine.com/ this website not find useful
Corey Martin
@nefD
what are your requirements (or your bosses requirements)? i think you'd be much better off proposing an alternative
losemry
@losemry
Want to develop a new engine based on this or reinvent it
Corey Martin
@nefD
what are the requirements of the engine? cross-platform, must be able to target web/js, etc
losemry
@losemry
Support WebGL, Windows 3D development, can do XR
Corey Martin
@nefD
maybe PlayCanvas, or maybe BabalonJS
losemry
@losemry
or Godot haha
Alex Fuller
@boberfly
well urho3d/rbfx are essentially the same codebase, so you could read urho3d's docs maybe?
