did you end up rolling your own logging solution for perspex or use splat?

We are using serilog or something
splat is now used by XAML and inspector
(doing bug triage on splat)

k. Debug.Writeline being stripped (which has always been the case) has reared it's head again as an annoyance.
.NET compiler links out Debug.WriteLine on release builds

Well, it's not that bad
In jabber-net lib there is some actual logic that should be executed
and placed inside Debug.Assert call
It's calling some function with side effects
and checking result by Debug.Assert
guess what happens when you compile it in Release

@ghuntley yeah, that was a problem i ran into when using splat's logging
but i moved to serilog as i needed it's more advanced features as a lot of log info gets created
