@grokys I'm trying to port a control from wpf, and it has a lot of VisualStateManager stuff... in Perspex is this redundant?

yeah, you should be able to achieve the same using style classes and selectors
probably minus some animation support however

Darnell Williams
@Seeker1437

@wieslawsoltes just committed a change that will hopefully mean your attached property will get registered properly before it's used

Steven Kirk
@grokys
Mar 23 2016 18:20

Darnell Williams
@Seeker1437
Mar 23 2016 19:19
Well that was a one time, thing
SO when I trie dto inspect something the devtools locked up for 2 whole minutes and eventually cause a targetinvokation exception
Seems fine now though :D

strange, could be that some styles from the parent application are leaking through to devtools
Darnell Williams
@Seeker1437
Mar 23 2016 19:40
Maybe I should change the order?
<Application xmlns="https://github.com/perspex">
  <Application.Styles>
    <StyleInclude Source="resm:Perspex.Themes.Default.DefaultTheme.xaml?assembly=Perspex.Themes.Default"/>
    <StyleInclude Source="resm:Mabiavalon.Theme.DockTheme.paml?assembly=Mabiavalon.Docking"/>
  </Application.Styles>
</Application>
Steven Kirk
@grokys
Mar 23 2016 19:41
no, that's the correct order
it's a problem with devtools if that's what it is

Oh do we have an XmlnsPrefixDefinition attribute?
Or rather, we don't but do we plan to add one?
Steven Kirk
@grokys
Mar 23 2016 20:02

It helps because what would happen is that if I don't do the style include or make a control add the styl tot he global liist i get an error bout being unable to find a namespace witht he prefix
Steven Kirk
@grokys
Mar 23 2016 20:23
i suspect it's not supported by OmniXAML anyway
