@/all - I think we should do the beta1 release soon. i've written up a draft of some release notes: grokys/grokys.github.com#4
could y'all take a look and review to let me know what i've missed/got wrong?
i'll probably remove the "Remoting and New Previewer" section as it looks like it's not going to be user-visible for beta1

Will the repo get release notes after each release now that it enters beta?
Like, even just a summary of the pull requests that has been merged, or issues solved would be nice.

Well we've done release notes for each release so far so I imagine so. I'll like to release more often though. I'd we manage that, they might just be a list of the new features and bus fixed though, not sure yet

Maybe I should rephrase my question. Will you be making more smaller releases? Right now there has been 1383 commits since the last release.
Anyway it will be nice to try it out once it goes into beta. :)

@AWulkan I think, in those 1383 commits, there have been some big restructurings, and while those stabilize, you cannot really do releases, but the nightlys have been quite usable..
@AWulkan the nightlies are usable for sure..

It's visible in AvalonStudio, actually

I'll try to update VS extension
But if I won't be able to until the end of the month, feel free to make a release without it
https://github.com/AvaloniaUI/Avalonia/wiki/Breaking-Changes - it's probably worth to include those to the release announcement
#1069 Implementation for Direct2D rendering for WPF integration
It's actually "seamless WPF integration"
This PR was the second part of it
The key feature of said integration, is that it blends in WPF's layout and rendering infrastructure
without any additional native windows

Skis backend is pretty solid rn. It’s the default option for non-Windows.

We’re using whatever version is bundled with SkiaSharp 1.57.1. I think @mterwoord has experimented a little with skia on ARM.
