You can use mac, with dotnet core, you can use vs code as an editor, however there is no previewer on mac yet.

I have read documentation on assembly in which is told that "Install Xamarin Studio or MonoDevelop" but these projects are dead also instead of them a redirect on visual studio, but VS1027 on OSX cannot load avalonia addons fot VS. Ok. I have tried recomended "xbuild /p:Configuration=Release Avalonia.sln" but i have mistake - "The default XML namespace of the project must be the MSBuild XML namespace. If the project is authored in the MSBuild 2003 format, please add xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003" to the <Project> element. If the project has been authored in the old 1.0 or 1.2 format, please convert it to MSBuild 2003 format." as have told in one movie "someone please give this man a gun". I dont understand what i must do for build this project. :(
i have tried build avalonia on macboock pro mid 2015 and macOS High Sierra.
MD is far from dead

@se5a Probably, but for macos i see "Visual Studio for Mac is available to install" on download page MD for mac
"It's not possible to build the whole project on Linux/OSX. You can only build the subset targeting .NET Standard and .NET Core (which is, however, sufficient to get UI working on Linux/OSX). If you want to something that involves changing platform-specific APIs you'll need a Windows machine."
VS for mac is pretty much MD
to a point
you might be better to run a Virtual Machine to get started.
create a VM with windows
set up the project

i have small project on python and wxpython But he has a weak customization and I would like to have slightly more than productivity which gives с#
currently using eto, which has been good, but I think I'll be able to get avalonia looking a bit prettier
