hey

you can now contunuing coding into your app
I integrated all the players and they load randomly as you start a new game
also, the game is now scaling to adapt into the user screen size
but you need to rewrite the logic for moving the players, shot and the collision detection
I left the old scripts in the project, renamed with _old so you can easily have access to them
we should be able to release a first alpha version this weekend

what are we using to deploy
heroku?
Andrea Sonny
@andreasonny83
Jul 06 2016 07:49

Jul 06 2016 07:50
i'll thoroughly read through all of your code tonight and see if i want to add any more features before we deploy
Andrea Sonny
@andreasonny83
Jul 06 2016 07:51
yes, we need to re-implement all the logic that was present in the previous app
first, accept the pull request so the code will be merged into develop
then, you can start writing new code
can you see what is missing to do?
start with animating the player. you can do that from the modules/keyboard.js

the amount of effort that you put into your code really shows... well done man
what exactly is favicon? that's the icon that appears in the address bar right? i noticed that we have many, many icons
does the favicon contain all the different sizes?
Andrea Sonny
@andreasonny83
Jul 06 2016 09:05
yes, the favicon is a mandatory information for any web page. is the one displayed in the address bar
favicon can only be 16x16 or 32x32 pixels
the other formats are used by Chrome or other browsers if they support that implementation and, all the informations are stored in the manifest.json
Billy B.
@Azurasky1
Jul 06 2016 09:06
cool stuff
Andrea Sonny
@andreasonny83
Jul 06 2016 09:07
using that manifest file will allow the app to be linked to a smartphone desktop to act like a native application
Billy B.
@Azurasky1
Jul 06 2016 09:07
:O
to show you an example, try to navigate to this page from a smartphone using Chrome: https://responsive-navbar.herokuapp.com/
then click the Add to home screen button:
Screenshot.jpg
then, you should be able to see the app on your smartphone homescreen, like a real app
Billy B.
@Azurasky1
Jul 06 2016 09:13
for some reason the add to home screen isn't na option for me
Andrea Sonny
