@brandwe Sorry for the long delay; just now getting back to this. I actually had seen that piece in the tutorial. Thing is, it all came from trying to get everything to work in the first place, and that's still a problem. If I run node app.js from the node-server directory, I get the following:

@brandwe (cont) When I went to try and debug what was happening, I got sidetracked with the dtrace-provider issue.

@brandwe One other thing: in Step 7, you say, "install bunyan and run the server like above but pipe it through the bunyan binary: node server.js | bunyan
Should the command instead be node app.js | bunyan?

@chrischiaro Yes you are right it should be app.js.
@chrischiaro I've never seen that nasty an error before. What platform are you running this on?
