Yeah. I need to add in all the legacy models too...
Also an alliance rework needs to happen for all catalogs since i did them wrong the first time
I did it by faction and now keywords

Haven't got my head round catalog structure yet, just figured out enough to start fleshing entries out.
Haven't even got round to playing AOS yet, still at the boxes of sprues stage :P
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Oct 18 2016 18:13
Lol. Well al least AoS is easy to learn. What did you pick up?

Place I ordered my cutters, knife, glue etc from has let me down... 3 weeks since I ordered and still waiting. :worried:
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Oct 18 2016 18:21
from where?
rastus
@rastus
Oct 18 2016 18:21
Nah, much as the GW stuff looks nice I couldn't justify paying their prices for tool aesthetics. :)
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Oct 18 2016 18:22
yeah. the only thing that i find somewhat worth it is the mould line remover, but still a bit pricy for one.

Not familiar with them either tbh, took a chance as their prices were slightly better than most... guess the old "too good to be true" applies. :P

They're struggling to get stock of one item I ordered, they let me substitute it for another item yesterday so I'll give them another week or so before I go all "unhappy customer" on them. :P

I love AoS, especially since I don't have the brainpower to play 40k currently. Too much math and other shit.
rastus
@rastus
Oct 18 2016 18:44
Heh, last time I played 40k was back in the first ed RT days. Looks like it's changed a lot...
Funnily enough, 40k RT was more of a skirmish game. More like AOS than modern 40k in that respect.

Psychic powers and super friends lists are way too much. Have a lot of those guys at my shop.
Ones even trying to power game the AoS group I'm trying to get started
rastus
@rastus
Oct 18 2016 18:47
Yea, I've been looking around 40k groups for the last couple of years when I first starting thinking about getting back into it.
General vibe I was getting from the wider community wasn't very appealing though.
AOS seems more relaxed... so far.
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Oct 18 2016 18:57
Yeah, Aos is.
40k has more hardcore competive players

AoS is more... Do your own thing, make up your own rules, they DGAF

Oct 18 2016 19:06
Yep. 40k RT was much the same at first.
Good for almost RP like narrative skirmishes with a GM, NPC's, etc.

My aos 2000pt list is fluffy and fun

We play 1k AoS here, lot of new players. I just use my Khorne army from 40k

Complete topic change but... what's GW's stance on BS catalogs for their games? Have they ever tried to shut them down or do they just let it slide?
cartag
@cartag
Oct 18 2016 19:12
I think as long as BS doesn't put out the files directly, and it's just a fan thing, they are marginally okay with it
They haven't cracked down like the huge file purge last decade
rastus
@rastus
Oct 18 2016 19:27
Alrighty. :)
Don't want GW goons kicking down my door because I added a few bits to a catalog :P
I guess as long as the catalogs aren't owned and distributed by the BS dev they can't go after him for "selling" their IP.

Yo, how long does it usually take appspot to update after github has been updated?
cartag
@cartag
Oct 18 2016 22:20
After a release has been done on git, about four hours is max
