it wasn't an error as such. It's just that the SSE doesn't get a "real" updated point value if you add child items when the SSE itself is a child.

i.e. the point value shown for a unit in a Roster is the sum of its parts, but the actual value for the SSE isn't updated. So in order for the points to display correctly, you need to actually update the SSE value.
@amis92, sounds like a nice project for that user to take on :)

Hmm... I was able to work around some of that for battleline units that had non-fractional point decreases ... couldn’t make it work properly for Brimstone Horrors. They decrease point cost by 6 2/3 points ...

So that sounds like I was running into the same issue.
And had to roll back to your solution.
Yeah, lemme commit what I’ve done and you can take a look.

@Mad-Spy Commited the Tzeentch cat changes. For Tzaangor/Blue and Pink Horrors and their “horde discount” it didn’t require all the additional logic to point correctly.
They’re all standard non-fractional point decreases.
On a per-unit basis.
Brimstones have a 20 point decrease over 3 units ... which is fractional... so I ended up having to use your point logic to make it work.

I don't think they'll work properly in battalion validation if you do it your way.
which is why I changed it in the first place. You'll have to try it out.

Ahh .. good point.
I’ll have to check that.
Thoughts on the Everchosen Battalions?

Yeah ... that was close to my thoughts
If we put an actual Allegiance:X into the gst as a cat ... that would probably allow for better cross cat validation
