@alphalas @Mad-Spy So ... if instead of doing the crazy logic for increment/decrement for the 'units that don't decrement by an evenly divisible value' .... one could do the points on the SE... at the max number of selections, set points to 0, and on the root of the SSE one can set points to the 'discounted total cost

@amis92 Are we sure that we actually need 6 months of builds?
That sounds like an awfully long time.

Pretty sure we don't, but it's there and for free, and there's not really a way to change it 😉

Interesting that it puts the .bsi and .bsr files into the assets for a release
@amis92 Was the .bsi and .bsr files into the release expected?

@/all New version of AoS core rules pdf has been posted https://ageofsigmar.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2018/06/AoS_Rules-ENG.pdf
“ALLIES
One out of every four units included in an army can be an allied unit”
This may be painful ...
Not quite sure how to manage that change... any ideas?
“WARSCROLL BATTALIONS
A warscroll battalion can include allies. They do not count against the limit on the number of allied units you can include in the army.”

Interesting that in the core rules it states that “ARMY ALLEGIANCE
When you choose your army, you can also choose an allegiance for it. If you do so, you can use the allegiance abilities that correspond to the allegiance you have chosen.”
Which means that in core play that allegiance is not actually required.

I don't think Allegiance is actually required in Matched Play, it's just that most people use one. Hopefully, the "1 in 4" rule is Open Play only and they'll retain the point restriction in Matched Play.

We'll have to wait for the rulebook or GHB to know for sure...

@Mad-Spy Yeah I could see that as being annoying to handle. There isn't an easy method unless you did a "unit" category that was on the RSE and then incremented off the rse to 1 for every 4.
Do units in a Warscroll Battalion count towards the 25% rule for calculator the number of available allies units?
Even if allies don't count against a roster when they are part of a warscroll battalion
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy

no, they shouldn't because they're not in an Allies detachment.

I don't think they can based on the Idoneth battalion with sylvaneth as that would break this rule
Bearing in mind it was written with this rule known

Do units from your armies Allegiance in a Warscroll Battalion count towards the total number units that determine the available number of allies units available in the army?

e.g. Your entire army core army fits in a single Warscroll Battalion. That Warscroll Battalion has 3 Units from your chosen allegiance. It also has 1 Allied Unit (that does not count against your allies unit totals). Do the 3 units from your allegiance in the Warscroll Battalion allow you to take 1 unit of Allies (outside the Battalion)?

I hope that it is something simple like 25% of your points for allies ...

Given they've said 1 in 4 for open play, I would hope it will be 25% in Matched.

Me too.
Interesting points difference for LoN and Nighthaunt versions of the Black Coach...
In a LoN Army ... it is 120 points. In a Nighthaunt Army ... it’s 280...

Sounds like that's getting a bump in GHB then :)

It’s actually two different points values depending on whether it is in a Nighthaunt Army or not ... it’s ... odd.
And the Nighthaunt version is a “Behemoth” and the LoN one is not ...

If they follow the reserves rule in 40k I wouldn't be too surprised if the limit was both 25% points and 1 in 4 units
