@OftKilted
Hmm. So “Ability(Unit): Magic”?
How does that correspond to implementation for Psykers in 40K?
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Psykers have a separate profile type, but they are more complicated in that they almost always have a choice of powers whereas in AoS they don't?
OftKilted
@OftKilted
Every wizard can choose 1 spell, and has others given to them by default
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Maybe I've just not seen one with a choice.
OftKilted
@OftKilted
Along with two basic spells “Arcane Bolt” and “Mystic Shield”
For example: in the DoT book “Each ARCANITEWIZARDand MORTAL WIZARDin a TZEENTCHarmy knows an additional spell chosen from the Lore of the Fate.”
So, they get the spell or spells from their profile, the 2 default spells and one additional chosen spell
(Which may be rolled)
There is no spell like Smite that can be cast ad-infintitum... each spell in a Matched Play game can only be cast once per turn
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Tbh, I don't like the 40k way much. We only present the spells a model can take so we're duplicating info in the Psyker profile
OftKilted
@OftKilted
Ok. Basically the spells vary depending on whether the unit can meet requirements ie Mortal vs Daemon vs Arcanite (in the case of Tzeentch spells)
Some units (like the Gaunt Summoner) can Choose from all of the spells lists. As they have all of the keywords
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Easy enough to do with SSEGs
OftKilted
@OftKilted
Similar functionality for Priests in KHORNE armies: “Each PRIEST in a KHORNE army knows a blessing chosen from the Blood Blessings of Khorne in addition to any prayers they know.”
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Yeah, we can do that with SSEGs.
OftKilted
@OftKilted
This matches the SCE priest rules as well.
Anyway. Thanks for poking at the skeletal infrastructure.
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
@/all, I've created an Implementation Guidelines page with details of how I've set up Chaos, so we can standardise across the catalogues. https://github.com/BSData/warhammer-age-of-sigmar/wiki/Implementation-Guidelines
I'll keep working on it over the next couple of days. Let me have any feedback.
OftKilted
@OftKilted
:+1:
Example screenshots wouldn’t be bad to have in the wiki
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Yeah, but you can't paste them in, so I need to host them. I'll add them at some point.
OftKilted
@OftKilted
Well. That’s not handy ... how are the images in the 40k wiki hosted?
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Dunno. I'm out tonight so I'll have a look tomorrow.

@Cupropituvanso
Hello :)
I was out of business because of moving to our new home, but now I am back ... and everything is new?
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Embrace the new!
Cupropituvanso Draco
@Cupropituvanso
I have no problem with new ... But now I have learn what has changed
My GitHub Sync shows that the files had been changed 7 Months ago? Or is there also something new?
OftKilted
@OftKilted
If you didn’t show up for stuff. Others likely had to do stuff with it. We haven’t been entirely dead around here :sparkles:
Basically. Nothing from 7 months ago is useful. If almost nothing. ~7 months ago the new version of bs was released right around he same time as the new GHB
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Basically, nothing has been done since Battlescribe 2.0 was released.
OftKilted
@OftKilted
^^ what he said
And bs 2.0 changed loads
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
I'm currently working through Chaos and writing up how I'm doing it into the wiki.
if you want to claim a catalogue and start doing the same, please do.
OftKilted
@OftKilted
So, what stuff were you working on prior to taking leave?
Cupropituvanso Draco
@Cupropituvanso
Wood Elves
OftKilted
@OftKilted
Well... that isn’t really a thing ...
Wood elves are pretty much entirely compendium.
Cupropituvanso Draco
@Cupropituvanso
I am sorry, I am not 100% understanding your formulations ;) I try to translate it via Google in german g
what does that mean, they are compendium?
what has changed in BS 2.0?
OftKilted
@OftKilted
Are you familiar with the changes to The 2017 Generals Handbook?
Cupropituvanso Draco
@Cupropituvanso
I have started reading it today g
OftKilted
@OftKilted
Wood elves as in Sylvaneth, or wood elves as in “Wood Elves”
Cupropituvanso Draco
@Cupropituvanso
Wood elves as "Wanderer" and "Sylaneth"
OftKilted
@OftKilted
@Mad-Spy So, we’re keeping with the Grand Alliance catalog breakdown? Not into the smaller factions?
The GHB 2017 Edition basically adds Allies and removes many of the old units from before age of sigmar
