Should we create a 'Allegiance PBF'?

My question is 'are the Allies of the parent 'Allegiance' also Allegiances, or are they KEYWORDS
or are they 'Pitched Battle Profile' lists?

OK, so Azyr has "Khorne Bloodbound" as an allegiance. Allegiance Leaders are restricted to those which have both keywords.

Khorne Bloodbound was actually an allegiance in the original Khorne Bloodbound book.

Allied Leaders appear to be Slaves to Darkness, Everchosen, Brayherd and Maggotkin

Though, the original 'Khorne Bloodbound' allegiance was entirely based on the Warscroll Battalions. it wasn't a direct keyword on the units.
And it is used in the current Blades of Khorne ... but you're completely correct that it is based on a combination of two keywords.

Basically Azyr is a right mess, because "Nurgle" allegiance can only choose from Chaos traits and artefacts, but "Maggotkin of Nurgle" (which should be the same thing?) can only choose from the list in the Maggotkin book.

In the battle tome it lists Mighty Skullcrushers as "“Battleline if army has KHORNE BLOODBOUND allegiance and its general is a Lord of Khorne on Juggernaut”

@FreylisUK welcome. I am currently working my through the minor factions, populating unit info, correcting point and adding abilities. I have been postponing work on the allegience and Pbf constraints as @Mad-Spy and @OftKilted have been working out the details as to how handle these. The implementation guidelines are quite detailed. If you could focus on KO that would be very helpful.

Quick query: how are you handling options for unit leaders? The Arkanaut Company Captain can choose one of two pistol upgrades; should I add a second Weapon Options SGE for him, or is there a better way of doing it?

If you look at Chaos, there's a leader option on one of the Pestilens units. Can't remember which though off the top of my head.

Or check Death. Skeleton Warriors. 'Weapon Choice for Unit'
Basically, it's an SSEG, Min 1 Max 1 named "Weapon Choice for Unit" with 'Ancient Blade' and 'Ancient Spear' as choices.
And a profile for the weapon under it.

Yep, that's how I've done it for the unit champions. It only matters for the Arkanaut Company, thankfully.

The sword can be taken or not, and the goad and lash are the choice of two

So I am noticing some lag on mobile devices doing the battalions the way we've talked about them once they all get in there and there's multiples- but on all of my actual computers it's been fine

We’re actually not doing any validation on battalions....
I believe we determined that it was technically possible. And that it was probably some level of insanity to do so because of how linking them would be an insane amount of work
We ended not doing validation of units ... merely the same kind of “does the force allow the battalion”
Or did we change the method in the recommendations?

not the recommendations, i was just working on seeing if said technically feasible ideas had issues, turns out it seems to on devices that are a bit less powerful is all

Okay, that's me done for tonight. I've created SGEs for all the KO weapon options and checked that all the limits work as intended. If I get chance over the weekend I'll see if I can get the Battalions working. Thanks for all the help so far!

@FreylisUK We can get them working ... the issue is not working, merely that it's complex and not entirely worth the effort, due to other issues.
It's a 'Battalion Organization' profile. With the data type of 'Required'

The first two are 'battalion abilties'
the '-' is a description
the rest are the unit requirements for the battalion, 'required' is a listing of the number of that type of unit.

That's why we're doing a minimal battalion handling and no unit validation.
