So yeah.... There's been a leak for the Renegade Knight for Chaos... I may have already created a new data file for the new faction

Renegade Knights have been released. I put the data in for the FW knights, but didn't link to them. Figure if anybody is inquisitive enough they can add them in easily.

Interesting. Formation of 3. Same (for the most part) as the FW version. Plus carapace weapons.
Should Cypher be in the GST for 2.0?

He got a (minor) update in the collectors DA codex. Now available to any of the forces of the imps - that's half the repo.

No "escalation of power" there.
What changed in the minor update? And does it affect the chaos side?

No change to chaos. They updated the list of who can use him (any FoI except battle-forged DA) and changed the wording of his Never Forgive rule . Otherwise identical.

What was the wording change?

Never Forgive: All models with the Deathwing rule also have Hatred (everyone).

That replaces whatever was there before.

The old never forgive: “Never Forgive
In missions that include both Cypher and Dark Angels models, all Dark Angels models with the Inner Circle special rule also receive the Zealot special rule.”

Excerpt From: Games Workshop Ltd. “Dataslate - Cypher.”

I'm gonna say no Cypher in GST. The only stuff that is in there is stuff that is in BRB our can be taken by everybody. The fortifications are available to everybody, except for the fortification formation from the apocalypse book. That isn't in the GST either.

With the number of catalogs that can take him...
cartag
@cartag
Apr 16 2016 16:55
But it's not something everybody can take, or something that is in a book for everybody. By the logic that most data files can take him, everything space marines should be in the GST

@cartag Where did you see the ability to take "mark of X" for the Renegade Knights? I'm not seeing that option.
cartag
@cartag
Apr 16 2016 17:49
They shouldn't have that option, did I include that in there?
The FW ones can take a daemon knight rule, but the renegade can't.

The renegade is also only in its own data file also, they are a separate faction
I can't English today, pardon the poor sentence structure there

@cartag it looks like it was included in the data file based on me reading it this morning

The FW knights are in the data file but not linked, meaning end users can't see them.
This was done so all I'll have to do is include links to them if/when FW says they can be renegade also
But no, there are no marks in it and no way for the renegade knights to take them.

You're the lead on Chaos ... They don't have "Lawful Chaotic" as an alignment ;-)
And my skill at reading raw XML is weak. :-)

Well... That's cool. You can have a knight with two Battle cannons, or Gatling cannons... Or thermal cannons...

Has anybody who has implemented Psyker profiles talked with a player for that army? Just wondering if it's very helpful before I do it in Chaos (I play Khorne, we haz no psykers)
Hell, or do any of you like them in your own rosters?
