I'm getting the crates added in now

@Salrantol are you doing C:SM now? There's a lot of places where you can trim up the fat in it. All of these duplicates here are entered as Aux, Formation, and sometimes Core as well. Add them to Shared Entries and just link to them.

There's also multiple entries that all reference the same vehicle/unit/whatever, but all have their own entries for them nested in rather than link to a shared entry.

Hmmm but isn't @Kohato doing a remake for 2.0? Cleaning up SMs for both 1.15 and 2.0 'd be a little bit overkill.

Correct. Once I'm done with the 2.0 one if its not out yet I'll be doin the same to the current one.

Whew, we were over 10 issues ... can't let that happen :p

I can work on adding those shared entries.
If we try to convert those entries into a shared entry, we get this completely superfluous nesting (because there's the Auxiliary or Formation you select, and then the one it links to). Is this preferable to a slightly larger file?

Welcome to the clusterfuck that is C:SM
The format should be - the formation inside of Shared Entries. then a link to that entry as a formation, and an aux in the main root.
That format is causing what you linked?
Salrantol
@Salrantol

Yes.

@DrTobogganMD
Jun 12 2016 12:57
Odd, it shouldn't.
snap a pic of the shared entry opened up

KDK behaves as it should. Formation in shared entries - then it shows up as normal in a formation detachment

Ah that's why
don't make an entry and link to it
just make a link

oic
I can fix that then, thanks.

How would it show up for an auxiliary then?

Check out CSM and KDK for examples.
You'd make a 2nd link
and list it as aux
still dupliate, yes - but a duplicate link reference is 3 xml lines.

@Salrantol
Jun 12 2016 13:06
Ah, didn't realize that was modifiable in links.

np. Just be sure to test before you commit :)

This'll be WAY easier than I was expecting, then, too.

Jun 12 2016 13:09
For those? Yea - that's the easy fix.
Shouldn't take long :)
Once 2.0 drops, the re-write will consolidate things even further. I can't wait to see my final file size.
will be much easier for me to maintain after that

shit, I hadn't realized you were already working on C:SM for 2.0, @Kohato my bad

Haha yea, started that once I finished adding AoD. No worries.

Damnit ... Frag Grenades are Assault Grenades.
Why does C:SM 7th say frag grenades and then refuses to clarify that ... like anywhere else at all

Ugh, if only this had been set up properly to begin with....
So many conditions of "Set cost to 0 if in a Battle Company" to replace....
Salrantol
@Salrantol
Jun 12 2016 18:23
Interestingly, some dedicated transport had multiple "Set cost to 0 if in a Battle Company" conditions. I saw one instance of the Lucius pod that had 3 identical condition sets.

Yep, that's why I didn't touch the current one
since i'm re-writing anyway

Half-shut-down computer for GitHub to load changes, half-shut-down computer to commit, half-shut-down computer to sync....
I'm beginning to understand why streamlining the Space Marine file is a thing people want done.

If it's that difficult to navigate on your machine - don't worry too much about it
We don't know when 2.0 is dropping, other than "Soon". Once it does the whole cat will be replaced.

Didn't dig too much into it - looks good though. Saved about 500kb doing that (which, may not seem like much, but that was about 1/6 the catalog size)
