hey @cartag you see any bizzare "Hide" behavior when you were converting KDK to 2.0?
I have an HQ set to hide if 0 selections of Ultramarines in the force, but he's hidden all the time ... if I take off the modifier, he shows back up

@cartag
Jun 13 2016 00:49
Not that I can think of specific to hiding anyway
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 00:49
Huh, odd. Must be something else blocking it
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 00:49
there are some bizarre times when it doesn't want to read links if they're part of a certain subset though
screenshot it

Jun 13 2016 00:49
Hmm that could be
blob
Hidden isn't checked for him by default either
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 00:53
So it's hiding if there aren't any chapter tactics selected, regardless of tactic, by the rule there
hmmm
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 00:53
Yea, I did that just to see if that was the cause
same deal if I set it to hide if no Ultramarines
Another odd thing - If I set Show Apoc, Show FW, and Chapter Tactics to "None" in the selection type - only Chapter Tactics shows in "No Catagory"
the other two dissapear
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 00:54
Does Chapter Tactics exist as a shared entry?
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 00:55
It's a shared selection entry group
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 00:55
For KDK, check how I have the [FW] Blood Slaughterer set up
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 00:55
Right I though, I set it based on that for the "If"
Yea, I was looking at your An'ggarath
to see if I was missing something
Maybe it just doesn't like it being a shared entry group
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 00:56
Only thing I can think of is that I have it set up with Show FW as an entry, not a shared entry
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 00:56
Hmm, I'll try that.
nope :/
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 01:01
Hmm
Looks like it's because of the entry group
It works if I base it on the "Chapter Tactics" entry and not the ultramarines one in the entry group
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 01:05
hmmm
What is the UUID of the Ultramarines chapter tactics it's referencing?

You set them up a second time, nm
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 01:09
Yea by all accounts it should work the conditionals mirror your KDK except that I tied it to an entry within an entry group - which it seems to not like
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 01:10
make a bug report for it
Oh wait, I have an idea...
I know sometimes it works if it's a first level nest, but if it's nested multiple times it then doesn't work
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 01:11
Which it is
I'll try stripping them out
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 01:12
Copy over the latest CSM file to your BS2 data file location
it has BL and CS nested one level and it works properly to hide formations
I also set it up to hide the link, not the shared entry
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 01:13
Alright, I'll look at that one
Ohh good idea
I was trying to hide the entry
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 01:46
Yea, looks like it's an issue using any child of a child in verifications
I'll throw jon an issue
Nothing's working unless I do a conditional on a top link
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 12:45
So ... got it working
in the original double nested way I wanted.
It looks the exact same ... I just re-built it from the ground up and now it works. So I must've flipped something.

@Salrantol - a little tact goes a long way.
Don't belittle bug reports in comments.

I don't even know how it got in the C:D book to begin with
oh wait, before I took over. NM.
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 14:16
Haha
So yea - hide works properly now, exactly as I wanted it to ... just had to re-make the tree from the ground up
no clue what I did wrong the first time
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 14:18
May not be something you did at all, could have been an issue with the conversion over
unless you were building it from the ground up
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 14:18
Nah, I copied it out of a copy of the converted C:SM
I'm making the new one from scratch but was copying a couple of the larger things over from the converted copy for ease ...
which of course broke things.

Since the iOS alpha is out (for testers) now for BS2, I created a new repo for the 2.0 data. https://github.com/BSData/wh40kbs2
If anybody can copy the branch to there it will be helpful, I don't have the time right now to do so
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 15:17

I need push access :(

Uploading
you can go ahead and close out your branch on BSData
data pushed.
We'll just need it compiled up to appspot now. @amis92 ?

It should go automagically I think
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 15:22

I thought amis had to push. That's nice then
cartag
@cartag
Jun 13 2016 15:23
it checks every few hours, if it finds anything new it does a push
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jun 13 2016 15:24
perfect. I'll link the new repo to ios tonight once it has a chance to push up to test.
