Holy shit that macro bomb cluster - apocalyptic barrage 3d6 - so anywhere from 3 to 18 rolls on the barrage template- that's just rude

Also, the Orbital Strike on the datasheet for it is different than the already existing Orbital Strike, you can't just link to the one in the GST

Yeah, ever since I rewrote the R&H catalogues to be a single file we've had people reporting that its not working. I just have to assume they're on the old files.

Well the P&R is only necessary if you reset the versionnumber..
and since we go to 2000 for converted files that should not be an issue anymore
UNLESS they stay at bS 1.15 because " I HURD BS IS BAD"
in that case... hit them over the head with a power maul.

BattleScribe doesn't remove files that have been deleted from the repo, so people still report bugs for them because they still have a local copy.
So if they dont delete their data files, they will see the obsolete cats.

yeah. BattleScribe could mark files no longer in index as Obsolete or smth :<

So they have a SM FIle with Rev 56 and one with rev 2005 and still decide to use the old one.
smart move, user.
I'm simply not replying in any depth to that kind of problem anymore. I'm a data author, not 1st level tech support.

This was just sent by the admin in one of the SW groups:
"Important update here for you all. This is by no means what I wanted to do today, but here it goes.
It seems another 40k page was recently contacted by GW to not post rules on the page. In order to prevent this awesome place of awesomeness we are starting, AS OF THIS POST no more screen shots of rules. You can quote the text still, BUT NO MORE SCREEN SHOTS OF RULES! This also includes points on any army lists shared.
Thanks all."

Do you think GW will be coming after the data files next?

Dirk Bachert
@Thairne

quoting text is fine according to that, just not screenshots of the official rules
pts might however bite us in the butt
might force Jon to remove the option for pts output in the display options

What? Why
Application is separate from data for a reason
Battlescribe has been separated from the data since the first time he got a C&D
And heresay is heresay (not heresy)
Long and short of it, don't fret - keep working on data as per normal (or don't, this is volunteer)

not saying the will shut us down, but they might take offense. after all there are pts, profiles, rules etc. all in BS

So? It's all data. Not the app
They couldn't hit BS any more than the RIAA could hit CD players.
data authors? sure. Not the app though

Please, please, please let us not panic and self-censor even before GW states some screwed up, not backed in law, demand.
