@skonk that is a fair point, I know at least one person who is rather miffed... Otherwise, nice to see a faq other day of release, I'm not sure if that shows excellent service from GW or unclear rules, or thick readers...
No, it was a long time ago and I don't remember actually playing them, but pink horrors used to split into blue horrors. I think the pinks only had a shooting attack and no psychic powers, and the same with the blues I don't remember about units though...
My favorate unclear rule recently is in Traitor's Hate. "If you have used your Daemon Forge in a previous phase, you may chose to use it a second and/or subsequent phase" - The F does that mean? Twice? Three Times? Every phase ad infinitum?
in terms of rules im really not salty and never have been; i've loved using the traitors hate formations and detachment and that; but i have to admit to being somewhat butthurt about spending so much on these books for a £20 book to replace em so soon
ive not played it yet but a m8 of mine bought 2 of the main game box (for the orks) and looks like he'l be giving me all the bits he didnt need from 1 set (so a human team and the contents required to play)
That's also a little naïve if you didn't think GW wasn't going to rerelease the limited edition 2 mo later bundled in with something else - the way I look at it if you're buying the limited it's because you want all the extra stuff that comes with - otherwise it tends to be a waste. Hell, that's why I only buy the Normal edition physical copy if it's an army I'm going to tourney - otherwise digital only for me
Wow Gitter way to update AFTER I posted a wall of text
id never think stuff wouldnt get replaced; and its not the limited edition thats the issues
but for people who just wanted the rules; GW not making it clear that the Legions book would contain verbatim the same rules as in wrath, so people go out and order a £45 book which before they even have in their hands gets replaced a £20 book is released that has the same rules just strikes me as being a pretty shady tactic
yes, they said the book would have t sons rules but they didnt say they would just be a staight up un-modified copy of the wrath rules
i suspect a lot of people bought wrath who would have just waited for legions had they known
and those same people will still have to buy legions for the legion rules too
sneaky tactic to sell people the same stuff twice imo
personally i would like the fluff to read too so either way i'd want fenris 2, but it still narks me off
