Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 00:47

Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 14 2016 00:50

Some rumours/leaks from C:IA for those intrested (saying they have the book in hand) http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/328418-codex-imperial-agents/page-36#entry4592338

Interesting, thanks for the link! No heavy thunder hammer shenanigans for Deathwatch in that book by the looks of things...

They seem open to questions if you want them to check, just not posting pictures, points or rules.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 07:52
Aha, I think it's in the Veterans entry... I just checked the Deathwatch Codex and the HTH isn't in the wargear list there either so I'll pipe down until I get it in my hands :-P
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 11:11
so @tag8833 looks like you only lost the psyker, but can still do the other henchmen shenanigans (for cheaper) via a formation.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 11:14
Speaking of 0 bugs for you @alphalas, who's responsible for the fortifications from planetary assault...? You or someone else?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 11:15
shrugs i dont know?
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 11:15
Hehehe!
Do you have the book though?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 11:16
i might be convinced to do the forts - well yes, but anyone that scrolls back far enough in gitter can get it too :p
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 11:19
Righto, did you post the pictures here or a link (I forget...) - would you consider posting it again...?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 11:19

That Terminator looks like a lot of options to magnetise... It that the same for all if them?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 16:33
Only 2 have the chainfist attachment- and he's the only one to carry the hf/autocannons
He and the sgt are also the only ones (for now...) getting the gun wrists magnetized
Also, if anyone is interested, the TH/SS bits are the BA TH/SS mated to the FW tartaros arms.

@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 18:15
:+1:
Don't you have marine bugs to worry about? [/kidding]
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Dec 14 2016 18:19
Hey, I'm just glad its the same bugs that people are reporting
and no new ones are coming in
If anyone wants to dive into it - feel free to take over if you can fix them quick
I've been swamped at work for nearly a month
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 18:21
I hear that - thankfully we're at that time of the year where 99% of the Christmas rush is over and the warehouse slows down
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Dec 14 2016 18:22
I have SM codex laid out how I want, so I doubt someone would be breaking it when fixing :) so if you or @FarseerVeraenthis want to take care of bugs while I'm busy, feel free - I can always provide insight on how I made it if there's questions
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 19:55
Sounds like a good plan, I didn't want to cause trouble if you were I'm the middle of something...
I'll see what I can manage tomorrow night...
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:11
And @Alexromer2
Stupid phone...
@alphalas is it difficult to magnetise the wrists? I was thinking about magnetising my Deathwatch but in the end I might just buy tactical marines to build the special weapons with and go from there...
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Dec 14 2016 21:20

NAh, I hadn't really touched it.

If you need the stats for the titans, or the 3rd version of caleb fuckall let me know, I have them saved for when I got around to it

the biggest "Bug" would be re-doing the artefacts.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:25
Caleb fuckall? You mean culln?
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Dec 14 2016 21:25
yea, same thing
only man special enough to have 3 profiles
None of which are updated for 7th
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:26
Soon to be 4 rumored
And the 4th is a dreadnought
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Dec 14 2016 21:26
eh, why not
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:27
No not hard @FarseerVeraenthis - one of my flgs's has magnets that come with the proper size drill bit - I chuck it into a pin vice and just do it by hand.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:27
Great fun all round :-)
Sounds good :-)
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:28
I usually use a small pin vice to place a starter hole so that I'm properly centered.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:29
I might try it with some of them... I've got magnetic weapons on my Eldar heavy weapons so I know the story but they are bigger magnets...
That's the style pin vice I use to start the pilot holes
Let me run down to the cave and I'll get you the size I prefer for wrists
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:31
Cheers me dears :-) that pin vice does look a bit flashy...
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:35
Ok I use 2mm magnets for the wrists - that's approximately a #47 bit
I use 3mm magnets for shoulders, and 4.75mm magnets for bigger stuff (dreadnought chassis to legs, for example). For my cerastus and taunar I used multiple 10mm magnets in the shoulders
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:38
Cool, ta :-) what thickness??
:+1:
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:44
I don't remember, I think it's 2x1.5, 3x2, 4.75x3, and 10x4
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:46
Wow, 10 x 4 is massive...!
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:46
IMG_0341 (Edited).JPG
those are my 2 main vices
you have to remember, i'm using multiples of them too - and we're talking resin.
IMG_0342 (Edited).JPG
That was practically a nightmare
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:49
That is a lot of magnets, getting the polarity correct must have been fun...
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:49
Hehehehehe, fun
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:50
I've been using an electric screwdriver with a drill attachment, it's OK but not very subtle... Delicate accurate holes are a little challenging...
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 21:51
Dude on center has 2 in each shoulder pad - dude on far left I actually magnetized the hand
Yeah I only use a power drill for the 4.75s or larger - my vices don't accept them - collets are too small
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 14 2016 21:57
Doing the heavy weapons is pretty straightforward, but I think I'll upgrade to a similar pin vice as yours if I decide to do some magnetising withy Deathwatch...
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 14 2016 22:05
Totally worth it dude
The silver one cost me maybe $7 at a hobby shop
