Yep. All solved by Jon it seems.
Quick check on one of the AM cats, seems to have solved those requirement issues as well.
I'll test them all and check them off in the bug report, mkay?

Looks like the /tg/ repo from the 40k general thread. Pretty handy stuff!

Dec 16 2016 10:47
I have my personal Dropbox that is about as expansive- I just don't like sharing the whole repo - did that once and people kept accidentally deleting stuff
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 10:48
how do you delete from someone elses dropbox? :D
or did you give everyone edit permissions?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 10:51
I guess so? Somehow a couple people linked it to their computer's local files - so every time they'd delete local it'd delete on the DB too
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 10:54
Ouch, good job it lets you restore deleted files
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 10:55
Indeed
After having to kindly as people to stop it I just severed all connections and went to my current "you ask for file, I give you link"
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 10:59
that's fair enough. If people are misusing it, you dont have much choice
on a side note, do we have any SW players in here? I can't find any heavy flamers in their codex (other than on dreadnoughts)
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 11:15
on the Wolf Guard Teminators page it says "for every five models in the unit, one model may choose one of the following options: - Replace their storm bolter with a heavy flamer... 10pts/model"
and the other options are "replace storm bolter with an assault cannon" "Take a cyclone missile launcher"
I think that's the same as the C:SM terminator entry, so it does need an edit if it is missing in the CAT...
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 11:21
That's interesting, it doesn't have that in mine, it just says "replace SB wtih AC" or "take a CML"
no mention of a heavy flamer
which version of the SW codex are you looking at?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 11:27
Try the wulfen edition, both of you
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 11:35
No mention of termies. Tyvm.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 11:35
I'm looking at a version from wh40klib.ru which appears to be from 2014... what is the copyright date of your SW codex? and does the wulfen edition make other editions obsolete??
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 11:35
yeah, it's the updated version from after the curse of the wulfen supplement
like red thirst for blood angels
and it's copyright 2015
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 11:36
(stupid space marines, why do they need so many books...) righto :smile: I'll stick with my Eldar and Deathwatch in the long run I think...

haha, no worries

@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 11:37
how odd... maybe it is a mis-print?
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 11:38
maybe, but it's not in the heavy weapons list either
gonna check the faq, see if it's mentioned
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 11:39
shrug
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 11:43
nothing in the errata or faq, i guess GW just really hate SW players.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 11:43
that is just plain bizarre, I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't be allowed to take one...
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 11:44
to sell more models of course. how else would they sell sw termies without making existing models obsolete? *takes off tinfoil hat*
Jon Kissinger

I don't know man I nearly bought a couple space wolf boxes just for that badass assault Canon they got
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 11:53
the option is missing in the Wulfen Edition (thanks to @alphalas I downloaded the eBook from the link)
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 12:37
does this mean we can close the issue though??
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 12:47
Yes
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 12:48
As far as the data file are concerned we go RAW, which give no option for heavy flamers on wolf guard termies. If GW release an faq or errata saying otherwise we can change it then.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 12:58
That's the same with BA - the assault squad use to be more expensive and came with jump packs, and you could take a free pod or rhino or a reduced cost razor. In Red Thirst they simplified it to just be cheaper with no packs and no DT discount
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Dec 16 2016 12:59
Exactly. I've closed a few of those before :P
And regarding the bike issue in SM right now, I've put a message for Jon on uservoice:
https://battlescribe.uservoice.com/forums/55066-general/suggestions/17451694-the-shared-checkbox-on-conditions
Hopefully that helps resolve things.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 13:08
yah, I don't know the codex well enough to figure out when bikes change from FA to Troops or the other way around... I also only have a crap version so it is tricky to do very much using it...
I voted btw - 3 votes from me :smile:
zopha

Another 3 from me :) Might need to copy that for the Heresy legions! :shipit:
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 13:12
If I may, how would you guys resolve this? It's KT-related. In the Codex Eldar: Craftworlds it says on the Profiles page at the end of the book that War Walkers are Vehicles (they have armour value, so...) but on the profiles page of the Walker itself it has the symbol for Heavy Support next to its name. If it's a Vehicle it's allowed in a KT match, if it's HEavy Support it isn't.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 13:21
good point, a war walker is heavy support so shouldn't be allowed... but they shouldn't be allowed by default...
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 13:26
In 6th edition they were Fast Attack btw ;)
And the Wasps from Mymeara are Elites. Doesn't say anything about regular War Walkers but just goes to show you can get them into KT legitimately. And purely anecdotal, the Eldar KT that featured in the first new format White Dwarf featured a War Walker as well, but they prepared that magazine months in advance so perhaps they were using 6th edition rules, who knows.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 13:30
see I thought wasps were fast
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 13:34
Elite for both Corsairs (pg 169) and Craftworld (pg 218). Of course only the Corsair one matters bc you can build a KT using only the Mymeara book with them, you can't do that for the Craftworld Wasps bc Mymeara doesn't have any stats for non-vehicle Craftworld units and you are only allowed to use one book to build your list.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 13:52
sneaky, but correct... no war walkers in Craftworld Kill Teams then :-)
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 13:55
Are these the latest cats for Craftworlds (v2012) and Corsairs (v2002)? If so I'll check them out this evening (GMT+1 here).
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 13:58
Yup, I think so, I tweaked the KT in Eldar last night but I didn't do anything to the normal War Walkers... Having said that, the Wasp has the Eldar faction in IA11, I don't think it matters how many books you use, you can only have one faction...
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 14:01
Nope, rulebook states: "Each player can spend up to 200 points on their Kill Team, chosen from a single Codex or Codex Supplement[...]"
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 14:01
I don't have the rules open in front of me... That means the Wasp will need hiding as welll
and that means more hiding in some of the other CAT's as well no doubt

well, I have been learing a lot through getting into the CAT's in more depth so, almost yes :smile:

It's VERY helpful to have someone else doing QA... otherwise it is super easy to get lost in the data files, and then not see the wood for the trees doing testing and then miss things...

Just trying something and wondering if it can be done or if someone has done it before. I'm just not that familiar with the Condition/Condition Groups settings. I'm try to get attacks for a dread to change if it has two DCC weapons and it has the option of two different types of melee weapons. Basically increment Attack by 1 if it has A+A, A+B, B+A or B+B.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 15:50

@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 16:15
Because then you get the guys that take the automatically added bonus and re-add it
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 16:37
It was more to reduce it when it only has one CC weapon.
The profile specifies it has the extra attack as it's default is two CC weapons.
So was I was going to start with 3 (it's base with no bonus) and increment by 1 when it had both CC weapons.
I have something working for Salamanders and Heavy Flamers, but that's only relying on one option, not four combinations.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 16:42
Again, that will cause user error
Go by profile, not modifiers
KISS is king
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 16:43
So if X is true use profile A and when Y is true use profile B?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 16:47
You're not getting me - we use the basic as printed profile - no modifiers unless it is something specific like the new nurgle stuff
Even then I'm not sure if we change the profile
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 16:50
Got it.
When you said "Go by profile, not modifiers" I assumed the data editor rather than the codex since I have my head in the data editor.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 16:59
Unless the ccw choice actually changes the profile, I assume this is some forgeworld silliness...
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:01
oh yes. Forgeworld sillyness as far as the eye can see.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 17:03
Well that's like the points bugs @Owlsbane found in Elysians - iirc that is actually how the stuff is priced
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 17:04
Right, so in that case, it is 3 attacks basic, and then +1 for two ccw in combat?
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:04
Don't know if it's in an IA book yet, I think it's scheduled for the next new one. They'll probably stick Cullen in it :)
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 17:05
Bananas
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:05
Yes
Kind of.
So it has the attacks in it's profile because the default loadout is two CCW's.
I just didn't want it to show 4 attacks when it only has one CCW. If it's unfeasible or going to cause more issues then it solves it's something I can leave and look at later.
The Heresy stuff has more issues than one extra attack in a profile.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 17:08
Oh fuck yeah you're going to have to modify that that fucking blows
Wait, no you don't
Or have they changed dreads to not have the s10 in profile?
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:09
It only has s8 in the profile but both the CCW types give X2 str
They're popular when stuffed inside a drop pod.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 17:15
Ok - honestly I'd just deincriment the a characteristic by 1, and have it not armed with anything standard
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:16
I think I could make it work if it only had one CCW but it has two with different profiles that it can use on either side.
I'm probably going about implementing it the wrong way.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Dec 16 2016 17:16
But I'm a lazy bastard so there's that

Dec 16 2016 17:20
Thank you @flakpanda waves hand over head of Texas
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:21
I'll do that, going to round up people to do QA on this and see if it works for the exisiting Heresy maintainers, if they surface.
If the QA'ers complain about it I can look at making changes but they can live with a bit of basic math.
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Dec 16 2016 17:33
They use to also do the same thing in 40k. But stopped doing it a few editions ago
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:34
QA or using modifiers on profiles? :)
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Dec 16 2016 17:34
The latter
Someone who doesn't know the rules.well or missed the footnote would then be wrong. It makes things slightly confusing.
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:38
I'll figure something out for that dread, or go with what looks like will cause the least amount of issue submissions. The book says 4 so I might go with that. TBH they should have the red book if they're playing something but I understand the confusion or issues profile changes can cause.
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Dec 16 2016 17:40
You are right, everyone should have copies of the rules when they play, but not everyone dies and rely on things like BS.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 17:42
Could you put all the ccw in one option, then "decrement A if less than two selections of ccw"?
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Dec 16 2016 17:42
Idk about everyone, but when I'm counting out attacks in CC, I go I have X base, +1 for charging, and +1 for CC weapons
So if I see 4 base in my profile, I'll use it.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 17:44
Me too, but apparently this changes the actual profile...
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:45
Those snippy claws add D3 if your roll a 4+ as well. I think it can get up to 12 attacks on the charge.
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Dec 16 2016 17:45
Add d3 or add d3 instead?
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:46
FW added the 2 CCW's modifier in the profile, that's what's really causing the mess.
So if you use the FW book you'll see 4 attacks even if you only have one CCW
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 17:47
Yup, because usually you get profile +1 for two ccw
As opposed to a different profile if you have two ccw
zopha
@zopha
Dec 16 2016 17:48
Sorry, it adds D3 wounds rather than attacks.
That's fine as a rule since it's die roll but if you swap out the CCW's for ranged weapons it should only have 3 attacks.
I'll match the profile as it is for now.
and just leave a note to revisit when there's nothing else to fix.
If anyone submits an issue I'll just tell them it matches the book and will be looked at some stage in the future.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 17:52
You could leave it as 3, because then when you go (in combat) profile +1 you get the intended 4 attacks...
As opposed to someone going, profile +1 for 5 attacks because they've not read the rules properly...
But then it is HH and FW so double trouble...
flakpanda
@flakpanda

Dec 16 2016 21:28
Asurmen's Twin-linked avenger shuriken catapult isn't twin-linked. Also, the name is only Twin-linked under Roster Selections in BS, not on his profile information. Probably linked to the regular avenger shuriken catapult profile.
I'm curious, why does the Special Rule Soulrazor from his Sword of Asur show up in the list of Special Rules on the top of his profile, but other weapon's Special Rules don't?
flakpanda
@flakpanda
Dec 16 2016 21:32
@Kohato so i am a lier
thought i did
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 21:33
I take that back, Bladestorm from the avenger shuriken catapult also shows up. So Special Rules in weapon profiles unique to the codex show up, Special Rules from the BRB don't. Is that as intended?
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 21:35
goodness only knows...
I'm just working on one of the other CAT's atm, so I'll finish that and then take another look at the Eldar CAT and see what I can see :-)
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 21:37
That last question was just out of curiosity, always wondered.
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 21:55
On that note, also weird that with Asurmen his weapons are not listed at the top of his profile card, between his name and Special Rules, but with the Autarch they are.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 21:56
Right, so I added a link to the Twin-Linked rule for his TL Shuriken Catapult
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 21:56
Okay, I'll remove that from my list then :)
Is it also named Twin-linker avenger shuriken catapult on his profile now?
Just asking bc that's what the codex calls it, no big deal really.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 21:59
Right, what platform are you on? I'm on Windows and Asurmen and the Autarch are listed in the same way
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 21:59
Windows 10, BS2.00.06
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 21:59
oh sugar, I'm still on 2.00.05, I was meant to upgrade... oh well...
I'll do that later
wrt the name, on my eBook codex it is Twin-Linked, not Twin-Linker <-- that looks like a typo...
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 22:00
I'm suspecting that's not what this is about, but we'll see. Like I said, those profile thingies aren't all that interesting, just some stuff I've been wondering about for a while now.
Yeah, typo, didn't catch that, sorry.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 22:03
wrt special rules, I assume you mean if, for example, the Autarch takes a Power Maul it has the "Concussive" special rule - and that is not repeated in the roster output... yes?
this is largely, I believe, down to the way it is linked in the CAT
i.e. in that particular case there is no link in the CAT, so the rule will not show in the roster view. It would be possible to put those links in (the BRB rules are largely already in the GST anyway) - if you thought it was worthwhile - but it would be extra work
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 22:06
Yeah, seems if it's a BRB special rule that gets linked to it ignores it, but when it's a Codex special rule it does show up in the roster output. I'd rather they wouldn't show up because they already show up in the weapon's profile itself.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 22:06
:+1:
let's not provide a rulebook with the Roster ;-)
Owlsbane
@Owlsbane
Dec 16 2016 22:07
That, and the Special Rules shown under the unit name in the roster should be special rules inherent to the model, not to it's gear I think.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Dec 16 2016 22:09
Yes, it is to do with the arrangement of the options in the roster selection and where the special rules are linked
Owlsbane

Seems like it's linked, as in if the special rule shows up in the roster underneath the unit's name then that special rule also shows up in the roster 'Selection rules' area? IF so then I get why it's happening and why it's set up like it is now. You don't want to spam the Selection rules area with BRB but probably want to include the codex-specific rules.

Oh FW, yet another classic from thy hands. Shadow Spectres and their Phoenix Lord have Spectre Holo-fields. The Phoenix Lord's is crap, though. His warriors have "Note that cover saves granted by the Spectre holo-field do stack with cover saves provided by Stealth or Shrouded special rules, but not those provided by terrain features or fortifications" but the Lord has "Note that cover saves granted by the Spectre holo-field do not stack with other cover saves or the Stealth or Shrouded special rules."
