Hi, new here. Trying to reach the author of the inquisition battlescribe repository named jjk, and was directed here. If someone can point me in the right direction, or pass a message on I'd be grateful. My issue confirms some errors on the listings, if he is aware of them that's ok, but if not they are as follows.
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Jan 24 2017 20:12
Open a bug
In github
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:13
how to do that?
Open a bug with the issues and someone will grab it to fix
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:14
Wow. Thanks. You are a gentleman sir.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 20:18
JJK isn't the keeper of inq anymore- I am.
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:25
Oh my bad, sorry, still says that on the recent update.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 20:26
Yeah I just fixed it in the next release going out
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:26
Cool. So you know of all the errors then?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 20:28
Which ones specifically?
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:29
Inquisition armour costs, vehicle weapon costs, weapon selection choices are wrong, don't know anything else, because that's what I play:)
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 20:31
Armor costs - there are actually 2 entries for each inq, the imperial agents and non imperial agents versions. I bet that's where your issues are coming from
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:33
Well I only have listing for inquisition and not imperial agents, and inquisition has the new formations in it, and some info is updated, so I thought it was using same entry.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 20:35
Anything from Imperial agents will have (C:IA) on the end of it - its all inquisition though, annoyingly enough
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:36
Oh, right, sorry, I was a little confused there, yep, entries say C:IA, but still wrong values in entries.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 20:40
They are correct according to C:IA - it actually changes a lot. If you want to use the codex:inq version, avoid the entries marked C:IA
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:45
Sorry, just checked it out, and both are wrong in some areas. Vehicle storm bolters cost 5 and they read as 10 in both versions. But both need to be altered as both detachments are C:IA now.
There are two detachment types, inq reresentative
And inq henchmen warband
Both have different units in different compositions
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:50
I have to run one of each detachment to play my army at the moment.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 20:50
The Warband is a formation, not detachment. The 2 detachments are the inq representative and inq detachment.
Warband formation and inq representative are both from C:IA and function differently from C:Inq
The only detachment from c:inq is the inq detachment
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:52
Technically yes, but under the warband listing acolytes have no weapons and carapace armour is still 4 Pts a model.
Let me put it this way.
I'm running inq representative with coteaz as hq and 2 units of acolytes. That matters as they get objective secured. I'm running a separate warband with xenos inq as hq and warlord and 1 unit of acolytes as that's the max you can take in formation, they don't have objective secured as they are seperare to coteaz
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 20:58
Also acolytes with special weapons can change either weapon for anything else, and the listing doesn't allow for that.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 20:59
I'm not seeing what you're saying- on my device the acolytes have all options available
You might need to purge and redownload your data.
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 21:03
Well I did that earlier today, which is what struck me as odd that some stuff has been updated and some stuff is missing. For instance I run 2 acolytes with special weapons, both armed with melta sand bloltguns so I can choose what's best to fire in any given scenario. But the current listing won't allow for that. Also rhinos have shield of faith special rule, and that doesn't show either.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Jan 24 2017 21:04
what alpha is trying to say is - What file version are you running and on what device??
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 21:06
Shield of faith is fixed in the upcoming release- for the weapon issue, select the "up to 3 May" option, and select meltagun there - then select boltgun in the acolyte weapon section
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 21:06
For want of sounding stupid, whereabouts does it tell you the version. Also I'm on iPhone 6s.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Jan 24 2017 21:09
hmmm... couple of places, a quick way is to back up to the list of rosters, start creating a new roster and the file version should be at the end of the name, tt should read Inquisition: Codex (2013) v2016
v2016 is the file version I have on my desktop
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 21:11
Oh, it says v2011. Also found the weapon fix, cheers:) Just vehicle weapons that are wrong then.
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Jan 24 2017 21:11
which are most likely fixed long before the file reached version 2016... so your data is behind :smile:
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 21:15
Oh and acolytes still wrong, because the only I can get correct points and weapons is through the acolytes listing, so I can't add jokaero. I can only do that through warband listing which has incorrect points. Ima confused😔 Sorry
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Jan 24 2017 21:16
that's cool, don't worry, I suggest you delete all your data and download again, you really need version 2016 before we can talk about any bugs...
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 21:18
ok, here's how it works - there are 2 warbands. one is the formation(from C:IA), which you have to have a formation detachment open to use. the other is a elites slot selection - that is the old one from C:inq with the 4pt carapace armor and 10pt power armor.
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 21:23
Yep, done that, still wrong, just deleted and reinstalled datfiles, says exact same. I'm sorry I can't select the options I want in the catagories I want yet it's legal in the C:IA codex.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 21:24
if you want the C:IA warband, open a formation detachment in inquisition - the C:IA warband will show up there.
it will NOT appear anywhere but in a formation detachment./
there is a Henchmen warband that has the Elite combat role - it is the old one, not the new one.
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 21:28
Sorry. But that's what I've got open. The new one. I don't know what else to tell you other than what I'm seeing is wrong, there isn't even an option to add a tech priest into the warband on the listing I'm looking at.
why not delete the old listings? It may save confusion, aren't we supposed to be using C:IA anyway?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 21:30
no. both are valid options, as per GW
deanofcool
@deanofcool
Jan 24 2017 21:32
But why would you use the old codex? If the new one is similar but stuffs cheaper? Just asking legitimately.

really, the main problem you have to fix is why your data won't update past file version 2011
and you can post screenshots here

@alphalas
Jan 24 2017 21:34
i'm willing to bet 2011 was the last version released.
i did do a bunch of commits yesterday

Yeah, miss them twin linked lascannons, that was my attempt at vehicle destruction before. But now I have "allies" for that;) so it's not too bad, to be honest it was too many points anyways.

Jan 24 2017 21:38
yup, I have v201 on my phone so that is the latest released version...
I've just dropped the triumvirate and associated wargear into the SM CAT so I'll do a relase now if noone has any objections...
then in a couple of hours @deanofcool the latest version will push through to appspot and you'll be able to download it and see if you still have problems :-)
