Feb 23 2017 02:51
Yea, I know
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 23 2017 02:51
Introduced with apoc as a non-apoc unit
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 23 2017 02:51
I want him to realize that.

Feb 23 2017 02:51
Its like that request to add the 10 year old tau fortification -.-
Just ... no

Jesus christ, eventually he will get it
Now, back to tree-revenant building

hehehehe, I added my tuppence worth (and cleaned up the thread a little). You've got to admire his persistence though...

jesus
that is even better than allied IKs
and I didnt even know the ares is that old and in the DA cat..
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Feb 23 2017 08:31
what the badger... I just looked up the rules for the Ares - for those that don't know, it is a Land Raider with no transport capacity, a dozer blade, and a demolisher cannon, a twin linked assault cannon turret and heavy flamer sponsons... for 300 points... why would anyone actually WANT to use it in the first place, let alone in the current edition where assault vehicles are extremely valuable...
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 23 2017 08:35
compared to a Knight to boot
a LR already is terribly overcosted, take away its ramp and you got a block of exploding ceramite
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 23 2017 12:10
"But that doesn't make it irrelevant!"
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Feb 23 2017 12:33
I think some people just want to have all the options, even if they actually have no interest in actually using them... How much is a knight btw?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 23 2017 12:35
425 base? Something like that?
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 23 2017 12:35
375-500
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Feb 23 2017 12:43
As Thairne said, 300 pts for a land raider with no transport and a bizarre mix of long and short range weapons is pretty rubbish...
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 23 2017 12:49
Naw that's all close in guns @FarseerVeraenthis
Longest range is 24"
Iirc - been a while since I've run my vindis
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Feb 23 2017 12:50
Yeah, you're right, they're all pretty close range guns...
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 23 2017 12:50
What's funny is in 30k I can run a vindi with an asscan (single, not TL) for about 160 iirc
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 23 2017 12:51
if he wants no transport capacity
just pay 350 for atyphon
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 23 2017 12:52
Story behind it in universe was that the DA were besieging someone, but all their vindis were knocked out, only had LRs left. They then cobbled together an siege tanks out of what they had

Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 23 2017 12:54
How'd all their vindicators get knocked out?
Some nefarious traitor from inside perhaps?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 23 2017 12:57
I think it was just because Seige masters the DA are not.
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 23 2017 12:59
It's a metal box with a cannon. How hard can it be
Simon Porter
@FarseerVeraenthis
Feb 23 2017 13:00
Apparently the land raider is the only thing that could survive the punishment, the vindicator Armour was not tough enough...
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 23 2017 13:08

Isnt that one on IA:2 though?

and DA not siege masters? Ever heard of the Dreadwing? :P

also @GenWilhelm holy shit. I didn't even know there's a Lightlord... Returning to HS after nearly 4 years...
"What happens when you try and corrupt a corrupted firelord? DOUBLE NEGATIVE, INSECT!"
Boy... I shoulda have kept playing... xD

Dreadwing phosphexed a district of Magragge Civitas. Rowboat was not pleased.

Haha yea, Old gods was an odd expansion
I'm enjoying Mean Streets though.
Jade druid is a fun deck
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 23 2017 13:19
its not fun if you lack a shitton of cards to build any decent deck and get a 6/6 of those fuckers slapped in your face
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 23 2017 13:19
It's a pretty cheap deck to build if you have a bit of dust
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 23 2017 13:19
tavern brawl is fun though, helps to get the daily wins
I don't ;)
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 23 2017 13:20

Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 23 2017 13:20

Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 23 2017 14:37
You should, this tavern brawl thing is great
its clone a legend week or whatever its called
the fun when you get 3 2-mana ragnaroses on the board (fire variant) and nuke everything he plays...
and then he puts sylvanases on the board. So you respond with oversparks and squirrel his sylvanases and stolen rags and blast him in the face for 16
next game: 3 hoggers. Get through that taunt wall, bitch!
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Feb 23 2017 14:39
