I'm actually planning to crack down on AM tomorrow and try to get it to the point all it needs is abilities typed in and bug checks of points

That would be great. I'm pretty sure AM is pretty far behind every other Cat at this point. It would be nice if we could get some testing in on it before it goes live to everyone

I understand the stigma of oh, they're only making left turns for 400 miles, but the amount of skill that goes into racing 6" or less off the rear bumper of the guy in front of you, with another guy along side you, 6" away, at 200 mph is incredible

I may be missing something - but is there capability to handle multi-factions which share a keyword (e.g Aeldari) in a single detachment?

there is
in battlesribe, add one of the factions to the list with the detachment you want to use
make sure that added detachment is selected in the list
then add another of the same detachment but selecting the other faction
it will show up in BS like different detachments but it will validate it as if it was 1

It's down to a combination of development of battlescribe and some genius from the data authors (was it @cartag who suggested the current method) but yes, it works now and didn't before so that's all groovy :smile:

Ok - how about you do that one list as 2 SSEGs - one that has a root max 2 on it, the other with a root max1
Then link both in a SEG named Bolter on the marine, with a modifier on the max 2 to set it to max 1 if 1 selection from the other list

Yeah that is what I did, but I also put a constraint of 1 on the combined selection if they select something from the group limited to 1

But then I was re-reading the rules to make sure I read it right, and just because you can only select 1 item from the "select one" list, it still looks to me you are trading your bolter for 2 items on the DW equipment list, allowing you to pick one from "Up to 2" and one from "Select one"

Because they are selection groups inside a selection group, we can apply the limitation to the outer selection group without having to apply it to the inner one.

Yeah, but there is no reason to set a constraint on Max 2 if the parent selection entry group has Max 2 set, and you've selected 1 item already from a different selection entry group, then it's already at an effective Max 1 before you done your modifier.
Basically it is inhereting a constraint from it's parent, so unless it's particular constraint is more restrictive it doesn't really do anything.
But i think I am going to redo it like @flakpanda suggested. his solution is much more elegant by combining all the items into 1 list.

so the second attack wouldnt need interrupting with CP

i used to use him now and then but typhus always seemed to do more work
his 12 inch auto-passing morale tests has some potential impact tho
taking his base into account thats like a 26 diameter bubble around him of fearless for all chaos space marines
it would be possible to get your entire army inside that without even having to bunch them up much
the 6 inch re-rolled hits is nice for black legion units but re-rolling failed hits has lost some appeal to me due to the -1 to hit thing possibly removing your ability to re-roll

chaos having Death to the false emporer, Grey Knights vs Daemons etc.

it's a shame the DG list is so limited tho
i know you can run anything you want, mixing DG with no DG keywords
but if you want to benefit from DG auras they need the DG legion keyword
you cant even have DG terminators
or standard marines

You can run Poxwalkers with any Non-DG army
I faced an army that was 3 Bezerkers in a rhino. 2 Soul Grinders, poxwalkers, spawn, and a chaos lord.

yeh its fine if you are mixing stuff
but at the mo if you wanted to just run units that can have Death Guard as their legion keyword (to benefit from Typhus/Lord of Contagion auras) then you can't have marines or terminators
which just feels odd

I added 5 Wraithknights to a super heavy detachment, and I could view the roster.
It had a minor hickup. took a second or two longer than I expected, but worked.
@alphalas I've got inquisition done.

hmmm... I don't think there is a way to reduce the "size" of the Wraithknight entry so perhaps ther is an issue somewhere... it's not a data bug though!!
