i built the wings on a spar so they're magnetized to the chassis - the burst cannons are on magnets that grab the win magnets thought the wing, or just sit on when there's no wing.

Part of what GW did on purpose with 8th was give people more freedom than ever to run what ever lists they like and while I personally don't and probably never will run these silly spammy lists.... I don't think GW should now start imposing restrictions on them. IMO it would be better for event organisers to set the limits themselves to suit their own events.

@skonk Well, I suppose you can say the dice have been cast in respect to gws approach for 8th. I just wish they'd gone the wizards/mtg route with super tight rules, and letting people sort out the kitchen table games themselves.
As for comp play, I wouldn't mind detachments limited to patrol/bat/brig
imo there should be a rule that no more than 50% of your points can be on a single unit type, would cut down a lot of the spam lists, might hurt some legit fluffy armies like orks though
Imo that is a dumb rule. Army comp based on percentages or percentage restrictions never make sense.

hmm, smoke launchers are individual to the units, but is shared wargear (since its shared among many units), but then I cant put a book reference unique to each unit, so, should I just link them all to, say, the rhino's?, or do a ton of work to get them correct?(i'm so far deep in now I don't mind tbh)

I have (nearly) every unit's ref set up perfectly, but, to do so will break people's lists as it changes some war gear options, some are still linking to the GST, which is bad anyway, but is it worth breaking people's lists to fix? (they would have to re-select hunter killer missiles)
