the Primarisstuff get more options but I like that the options still seem quite limited
and the multi-model units, every model has to switch the weapons etc
it's these restrictions that keep the old units relevant

While still being super-fluffy with old legion organization

It's actually restored some faith in GW for me
I was worried that they would go the AOS route of replacing the old armies
these, yeh you can make an entire army out of them... and it could well work. But it seems to me that you will kinda need to mix the old and the new to be effective.
And I'm not convinced you NEED the new stuff for your army to work; feels optional to me and thats a good thing
The fact that the new stuff looks great is enough to sell them; folk will be throwing their money at GW just on the looks of the models so they didn't need to force the issue with overpowering rules

I think I'm right when I said all the models have to run the same weapons. It says "all models may" where as it usually says "any model may" if you can mix them?

I'm getting a very HH vibe from the primaris
they're good tools for specific jobs, but don't have the generalist feel of regular marines, so you still want both
sternguard and devs are still particularly good for that flexibility

That's what I mean about legion tactics- organized like they were before the CA

Anyone have an idea to speed up the adding of 25 or so rules to 118 entries?

Click 600 times, or write a script... ugh...

Hey both @zopha and I did similar lol

Jul 22 2017 02:04
I have to imagine that 25 rules is a new high.

@alphalas
Jul 22 2017 02:06
Idk we had to relink most everything in the units we migrated so it might be close
Speaking of which, we still should migrate from root entries to SSEs at some point for the rest of the stuff
Austin C.
@capitaladot
Jul 22 2017 02:38
Has to be in root entries to do default selection.
Oh, wait, that's not what you mean.
I guess so.
So, here's another glorious BS bug: hidden shared rules aren't really hidden.
Does that mean that constraints and modifiers don't work on them, either?

For those 40k peasants following from the country side, 30k should now be unfucked. ;) https://github.com/BSData/horus-heresy/releases/tag/v9

@mrtra1910 the Achilles is in IA:I:AA, not the alpha. The Alpha is 30k only
I looked myself

where does it say the alpha is 30k only?
because the store page says it can be used in 40k

Jul 22 2017 13:31
But it's not in the index
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jul 22 2017 13:32
It doesn't specifically say; but like I said yesterday the difference between the alpha and the Achilles (in 30k - there are rules for both separately there) is one has MM or HF sponsons (Achilles), the other has MM or Volkite (Alpha). As @M4uler pointed out, in the last IA:AAv2 the Achilles (no alpha, mind you) couldn't even change the sponsons.
They probably mean you can use it as an Achilles - because literally the only difference is the sponson options
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jul 22 2017 13:39
Double-Checked LA:AODAL; The Achilles has only MM sponsons; the Alpha has only Volkite. That's probably why the Alpha is not in the Index.

@GenWilhelm
Jul 22 2017 13:44
is that literally the only difference? no special armour or engine or anything?
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Jul 22 2017 13:45
The Alpha is taken singularly, the Achilles is part of LR Squadrons

The Alpha has to reroll failed DT tests - otherwise it works out to be practically the same

Anyone in a position to re-test Horus Heresy Legiones Astartes with iOS or 32bit Java on Windows? I don't own any fruit-flavored devices.

I didn't try the GF's early 10 iMac but it's running sierra so i doubt it'll have an issue
Could be people with pre-5 series iOS - I know Apple has stopped supporting those and they tend to get super-buggy all by themselves
