The story behind the picture is that during the race at spa, Nico Hulkenburg (the dude in the yellow hat) pushed K-Mag's teammate Romain Grosjean wide in a corner at the beginning of the race, and knocked him out. So at the end of the race K-Mag was in a similar position, and just smoothly ran wide in a corner with Hulkenburg on his outside, forcing him off the track.

because while his army is somewhat resilient, it lacks heavy firepower and is fucking slow

well, I managed to get my skyreaver parts ordered, and I have enough left over on the giftcard for the codex & cards when it drops and one other large purchase
do I complete my air wing with a voidraven
or do I finally get a wraithknight just to build+paint the thing and do some posing work to make it look great

well... now you mention it, the Death Guard sections of my opponents armies haven't been the strongest parts... perhaps I should just not get hung up on the huge mob of plague bearers in the middle of the battlefield

the problem will be people selectively taking DG supreme command detachments and then filling out the rest of the list with standard chaos
at which point the age old "I'm not playing vs that shit brah" comes into play everywhere except high end tournaments
pure nurgle/DG looks like it will be just fine

hmmm... I think to a certain extent we're back to #waitforthecodex just now we need to wait for all of them before making any balance decisions or final decisions on "how good" 8th is...
for example, the commens earlier about "goodbye 8th, nice knowing you" once the preview for the DG comes out... surely it won't be that bad once all the 'dex's are out?!

I don't think so
tbh most of the codexes have had loopholes that allow a few silly things, but compared to formations its not too terrible
the two biggest problems right now:
1) Undercosting of specific very good character/hero units (R.G., Celestine, few others)
2) Hordes that benefit from aura buffs but are immune to thier primary weakness of morale casualties
and 3) sniper weapons/units being too weak to remove problem characters even taken in multiple units

tbh sniper weapons need to be scarier
right now scouts/rangers are not that scary and just serve as unit screeners
the vindicare is the only sniper that actually scares people
the best fix I can think of is to give snipers a -2 rend vs INFANTRY and CHARACTER
stops people using them to fuck up vehicles but makes using them against well-armored characters (which is most of them) more practical than the fishing for 6s game

Wild Psyker: Any roll of doubles on a cast inflicts perils that deals a single mortal wound only, unless the result is a double 1 or double 6. If the result is a double 1 or 6, roll a D6, on a 4+ the model gains the daemon of slaanesh rule and is now counted as an enemy model and is controlled by the opposing player, if the roll is less than 4+ the model suffers standard perils of the warp.
I couldn't translate the full table but that seemed to bring at least the spirit of the idea forward

A Forceshield (4++, Autarch, wraithblades) is 8 points for a single model, a Shimmershield (5++, Dire Avengers) is 20 but effects the whole unit
if it only works when moving, I think the cost could come down to 10 for a unit and possibly in the region of 6 or 8 for a single model.
