@alphalas #1414 needs updating, it is missing reference to "Don’t worry though, you can still use all of these in your games if you have these older models. In these instances, use the datasheet from the index, and the most recent points published for that model and its weapons (currently, also in the index)." specifically the bit where it says "use the datasheet from the index"... Because that is what is causing the problem.
@CrusherJoe yup, looks like tags are back in town...

@FarseerVeraenthis I'd paint it depending in the purpose. Generally I'd want it to trnasport either Termis or Knights, so that would be Bone white. If you want it to transport Assault Marines or something obscure for whatever unfathomable reason, go green.
Usually, you go bone :P

Uhuh, but do I use the standard landy for my Deathwatch to give them more anti tank, or do I use the crusader for extra capacity...? And as such, would my DA benefit from the extra capacity from the crusader or not?

so ah with the battlescribeData... do i just open like a .api? or are they info for a current app?

@chips181, You need the app if you're using a mobile, or the desktop client on a PC.
it'll ask you where you want to get the files from, and has a default location of the appspot site where everything is hosted

@FarseerVeraenthis I prefer the Crusader, the sheer amount shots it puts out is awesome and the extra transport capacity is more useful than ever. Also for the points a trip Las pred puts out the same shots as the LR at a fraction of the cost

I :heart: Land Raider Crusaders
I just can't find a good use for them
I was REALLY hoping they would get the Assault Ramp rule back (or a variant thereof)

@FarseerVeraenthis
Oct 27 2017 13:11 UTC
Well, you can assault out of vehicles now, and since they have an access point right at the front you can make the most of your 3" disembarkation move... So they're one of the better assault vehicles...
I think I'll go for a crusader for the Deathwatch, and keep the standard landy for a squad of Deathwing Knights or similar
Ill use my corvus for anti tank for the Deathwatch

I like having Helbrecht near my LRC and getting rerolls to hit on all those shots lol
Joe Beddoe
@CrusherJoe
Oct 27 2017 13:15 UTC
What's this "access point" of which you speak?
That's a previous versions concept LOL
You can disembark 3" from the hull and roll out from there
Joe Beddoe
@CrusherJoe
Oct 27 2017 13:22 UTC
Sorry, you disembark within 3" and then move
On 32mm bases it's ~10" of movement
CloverFox
@CloverFox
Oct 27 2017 13:28 UTC
wouln't it be equal amonst all bases? as the outside edge of your base would touch the 3" mark
Alex Baur
@acebaur
Oct 27 2017 13:29 UTC
No because larger bases mean you are that much closer to the enemy
CloverFox
@CloverFox
Oct 27 2017 13:38 UTC
but your base still has to fit entierly within the 3"
Alex Baur
@acebaur
Oct 27 2017 13:41 UTC
Not for deploying from a transport
the FAQ makes it clear there is a distinction between "within" and "wholly within"
Disembark just says Within

Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Oct 27 2017 17:27 UTC
@FarseerVeraenthis if you use it for AT.. well common knowledge was that you want to use it for the guns and less for the transport. In that case, you probably wont assault that much with it -> go green
if you go crusader and use it as a trnasport therefore, go DW.
nicer? I'd have ripped his face off
literally.

Total Warhammer II
mortal empires released yesterday (the combined map of both games)
Alex Baur
@acebaur
Oct 27 2017 22:48 UTC
How is that game?
WindstormSCR
@WindstormSCR
Oct 27 2017 22:48 UTC
fun as hell
they've basically made it into a faithful recreation of old WHF but without the problems
has workshop support too, so if you don't like something there is probably a tweak
if you have TW I and TW II you can play the combined map in TWII (mortal empires) and play as anyof the races from game 1 or 2
and each has different lore-friendly objectives for campaign victory, or you can do 2-player headtohead or co-op

How are Bretonnians? Because let's face it, that's the only reason is get it. Cavalry charges... Massive Cavalry charges lol
*I'd
WindstormSCR
@WindstormSCR
Oct 27 2017 23:07 UTC
I enjoy high elves personally
but brets are good and faithful to their style and lore
very cav heavy with peasant support
they're TW I though, and a DLC
so if you wanted to play them in mortal empires in 2 you'd need TW I, and the bret DLC
(It's still worth it)
I may enjoy high elves the most but I had a blast with many of the other factions too
if you like cavalry you'd probably have fun with savage orcs too, boar-boy heavy armies can be staggeringly effective
and beastmen infantry have a lot of cavalry-alike traits
