New Maven bsdata project (data hosting site) is deployed at http://battlescribedatatest.appspot.com. There were a few little issues but I think they've been ironed out. It's currently in it's own branch: https://github.com/BSData/bsdata/tree/Maven
If anyone wants to poke at it (looking at you @amis92 ), I've written up a pretty comprehensive guide to getting it running (see the README.md). It would be good to be sure the guide works.
Have a go with the test site linked above, and hopefully we can switch over to it for real-real soon, assuming everyone is happy.

Oh, and the new version includes ability to rewrite URLs so we can redirect repos so that needs to be set up.

That one is similar to the other issue with WG weapon selection. I changed it to actually work as it should.
It was the "untick the Shared" option
#1562 unfortunately doesn't have a solution -- the way the WG weapons are implemented are the way they should be, I believe.
I don't remember what they look like (not enough caffeine in the blookstream yet)
But if you'd like me to re-examine #1562 I certainly can

there was an interesting suggestion from another group - make the power of smite scale with the number of powers a psyker can cast
1 cast = 1 MW, 2 = D3, 3+ = D6. 11+ to cast moves you up a bracket

The Smite beta change doesnt impact me much cos I tend to play my DG and not cast smite much; but it certainly buggers TS and GK. They could do as suggested above or just allow the almost-psykers to select 1 spell like they could in 7th

I moaned about mortal wounds when they first announced they were going to be a thing. My gripe was that they removed D weapons because people didn't like weapons they had no defence against... then they put mortal wounds in.
and it was OK in the context of armies not having many ways to deal mortal wounds but then they went with mortal wounds being the way they add power to all the armies in the strats/special rules etc. when they get codexes.
They could just remove em for me like; but they would then need to change other stuff to speed the game back up
the increased game speed that they reckoned would come with 8th never actually happened, its as slow as ever in most cases and thats with mortal wounds; remove em and it slows down more
i also dont like ap values of -4 or better being a thing
and tbh, i just wish they would make cover like it was in7th

yeah, i agree on the mortal wounds front. it just seems like an over-simplified cop out for "extra damage" without allowing much, if any, defence against it.
and i also think that cover should be closer to 7th. it's been over-simplified as well, to the point where it's rarely relevant, and even rarer that it matters

allow the mixing of literally everything, gravis, primaris, regulars, terminators
it would be a perfect setup for storytelling as well, since you could actually have squad-level dynamics in stories being told

i figured it's less risky and less work to merge the point changes and then work on that basis than doing it the other way around
I wont get done tonight (it'S close to 22 pm), but give me about 12-16h (sleep and some time to work on the dex with actual dual monitors) and we can probably :shipit:
im working on it currently, but my workplace has just the nicer setup :P
