the flier rule thing for losing on the end of a turn? second battle round onwards only
doesn't apply to turn 1
so you could indeed clowncar everything into stormeagles and deepstrike
this has also revitalized my RG listbuilding a little

my recipie for opaque glass is usually glaze, the the corresponding gem technical
wick the glaze so it settles where you want the darker gradient

the gem tech will make the glaze pop
but try it on something first
its how my fire prism gems were done
