So.... I had 3 Custodes bikes for my army but wanted to be able to also run a Shield Captain on bike too. So I bought another box of them... but before I even unsealed them, I got the chance to buy 6 already built custodes bikes (primed gold too) for a little cheaper than I could get them new so I got them. So..... do I try to exchange the unsealed box or shall I just build them on the off chance I want to run 12 ?
I feel as though Facebook should be considered an "official channel". It's run by GW employees. It's the closest thing we have to an open channel of communication with GW.
Also can someone please explain to me why we still indulge in the anachronistic and masochistic practice of "Daylight Savings Time"?
CrusherJoe @CrusherJoe and his people, being Irish and pale of skin and easy of burn, parted ways with the sun long ago -- and he doesn't like being forced to endure more of it in the evening, the time that by rights should be for him and his...
@CrusherJoe we don’t really count FB because it’s not run by rules monkeys, but social monkeys; they’ve mostly stopped answering questions anyway, but when they still did they were known for issuing wrong or contradictory statements.
@amis92 What I did in earlier editions when something was fishy and I still included it I added a RAI warning to remind ppl that it is fishy. I think doing that would alleviate some concerns... those that dont want it can ignore it and tournament players get reminded on their list that they shouldnt do it
Just in case you think it's my anti-xeno stance causing this, I would like to personally take a cattle prod to every asshat that wants to take some obscure Index buildout for a Ministorum Priest too
And in case you're wondering (you're not, but in case someone was) I like to practice what I preach. My metal Company Commander model is holding an Inferno Pistol. You do see me wrangling rules and desperately clinging to a 3rd edition wargear list trying to make him a better model.
I believe very strongly that in the case of Tau codex there is a crystal clear intent that (we'll use the obvious case) that the Stim Injector is no longer valid as a piece of wargear you pay army construction points for and give to multiple models.
Your stim injectors got nerfed. Yanked. Yoinked. Gone. Outta there. They're a strat, and you get to use it once a turn.Suck it up and stop trying to take it any other way.
For the last week I've been hoping beyond hope that Savior Protocols would become a strat. It didn't. So I gots to suck it up, too. As the Rolling Stone so eloquently put: "You can't always get what you want."
There has been exactly ONE Tau player that I've known and played against that wasn't a Diehard Tryhard. He brings little tri-fold pamphlets with him to every tournament inviting you to join "The Greater Good". It's hilarious and he's an excellent player and a good guy.
the DC is a necessary thing because of GW legal getting involved in what codexes can contain. As someone who was partly pulled toward eldar because Autarchs were fundamentally "My Dude" along with the glorious painting opportunites after painting way too much black, red and silver, having the index continues to keep that peice of things alive
Okay if I'm being completely honest with myself it could be related to the fact that in 7th edition Tau played an army that was diametrically opposed to the kind of army I used to love to play -- full assault. Between army-wide Interceptor, Ripple Fire, Nova Charge and shared overwatch they really took a dump on my fun. :)
I have like a 50% success rate with Dull-Kote. I don't know if I'm spraying too close, or too far away, too much, or too little, or if I'm not facing east at the appropriate time, or if Mercury isn't retrograde in Aquarius when I do it or what
But Vallejo decal fix, thinned and shot through the Paasche (aka, "the crappy airbrush") delivers the flat matte finish like magic.
