Hm. On the "obviously deprecated by newer rules" I agree with @alphalas - there's no valid argument, and email doesn't help. Yet, we support officially published, well, publications - but since it's no longer available, it can be freely removed as deprecated. It's not specified anywhere I think, but commonly understood that we only support "current" rulese with all updates provided. No-longer available datasheets don't fall into "current" category. It's maintainer's call, IMO.
