@thairne, you've said "yes" to @alphalas on #4601, but the implementation is wrong currently.
You cannot take 2 relics just by taking the Relics of the Rock 1CP stratagem.
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 15:11
Also you can't do the extra relic twice
It's +1 or +2
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 15:59
"yes" was just short for "yes. Agreed".
I'm lazy and commited something 4 minutes later :P

I think the "multiple relics on one guy" issue was why most other catalogues moved away from the inline entries to a single selection list.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 14 16:05
Exactly
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 16:15
which causes other issues again with replacing gear that is not there and making that single relic list a nightmare of conditions which is why I did it that way...
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Feb 14 16:23
as long as you make your individual relics separate SSEs linked into an SSEG, and validate them individually, it works well enough.
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 16:25
^That.
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 14 16:29
Yeah don’t worry about conditionals on whether or not unit has XYZ weapon – we include the must exchange for verbiage for just that reason
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 16:32
I mean, you could do those conditionals too
Hide if parent doesn't have <Required weapon>
Iain Launchbury
@Mad-Spy
Feb 14 16:32
yeah, they're not massively complicated to do in most cases
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 16:32
We include the must exchange cause we have no way to currently hide the ones it replaces sadly :(
That's a 2.Mjolnir feature.
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 17:00
eh, I might just validate each relic with a few conditionals to check for the other relics. Since its on a per relic base and there are not THAT it shouldnt be that bad.
But we'll see, I've got quite a deadline on real work and that uses some significant computing power out of mah brain.
Maybe I'm lucky and 2.shiva comes out in time. Heh.
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:06
Oh you sweet summer child.
"Comes out in time"
Haha
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 17:07
*before my timely death in 52 years
sorry. Pressed enter to soon ;)
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:08
there we go, that's better.
Hey, in 52 years we might actually see another advance to the story.
Like the truth being revealed.
Alpherius was loyal the whole time and DA are the real traitors.
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Feb 14 17:10
cypher was actually alpharius all along
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:10
I can dig it.
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Feb 14 17:11
that's why he wanted to talk to the emperor so bad
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:11
DA treason aside, I would be stoked to see something like Alpha legion being revealed to be deep undercover
Like, that's what emps told bobby
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Feb 14 17:12
because big E is actually omegon
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:13
Or hell, some story about the 2 lost legions
what happened kind of thing
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Feb 14 17:13
i think its better they leave that a mystery
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:14
I always figured they left 2 unnamed so as to introduce 2 new chapters some time down the line
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Feb 14 17:14
i thought it was so that people could make up their own chapter/primarch
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:15
Yea, their own primarch I suppose.
Will Pattison
@GenWilhelm
Feb 14 17:15
most old lore has deliberate holes/ambiguity, so that the players can fill in the gaps how they want to
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:15
Custom chapters was always dealt with via successor I thought
WindstormSCR
@WindstormSCR
Feb 14 17:15
its so that successor chapters can have twists that aren't derived from one of the labeled FF chapters
its been a thing since 2nd edition and that chart was first published
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:16
Ahh alright
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 17:16
besides, we already know about 1 lost primarch.
Angry Marines.
Too good to not be canon!
WindstormSCR
@WindstormSCR
Feb 14 17:16
basically an excuse for "yourdudes"
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:16
Angry Marines lost their primarch?
I thought the primarch was perpetually an efigy of "That Guy"
so the chapter can always have something to be angry at.
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 17:16
Even if I pretty much left my DA on the shelves, I'd be REALLY into getting to know what Cypher is all about
if I remember the primarch was spirited away with the others, but drifted in space for ages with only a copy of battletoads II to play
which is where his anger issues came from
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:17
Pish, he just needed to "Getgud"
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 17:17
There is no getgut in battletoads. There is only pain.
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:18
I loved the angry marines posted on /r/40k the other day
the Wrench and Saw launching aggressors
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 17:19
no powerboot/bat? Disappointing :P
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 14 17:22
Lol
The dude making those is actually one of my locals lol
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:23
yea I know
Dirk Bachert
@Thairne
Feb 14 17:23
those actually ARE very, very nice
ALWAYS ANGRY
ALL THE TIME
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:23
I knew not everyone was in the berks group though :D
Jon Kissinger
@alphalas
Feb 14 17:52
Lol fair
Yknow what’s funny as shit? I worked for his stepdad for like a year year and a half before i made the connection and I was like hey do you know smoker? Yeah he’s my stepson lol
Earl Bishop
@DrTobogganMD
Feb 14 17:58
