I use copious amounts of glue on the bottom OR Vallejo acrylic putty for that

Acrylic Putty should be similar enough. ty - adhering mags wasn't the issue, needed to raise them a bit to get good contact with the surface.

I feel like I might be missing what you’re trying to do- but good luck?

but a magnet in the base so it adheres to a steel sheet for transport
I for one find that a 2mm magnet is thick enough to pull and yet not touch the sheet to scratch the sheet's laquer when moving the mini
and green stuff is expensive :P

opinion time!
I'm not too sure about that kataphron arm... its wysiwig since servitors DO have a servo arm, but the thing is about the size of its torso and a half... :D
Use that or a normal arm?

Yea, I have about 200 3mmx1.5mm
so either buy 200 3x2mm or use some green stuff as a filler :p

well GS has the added advantage of creating a better hold for the magnet. But depending on the price, 200x3x2 would be less work...

Super glue with gel will tend to have an even better hold and can be globbed up to provide that buffer to get the magnet closer to that surface

First Servitors assembled.
They dont actually look that bad...

whereas addmittedly I ran out of hands and had to improvise.. I might even rip off some pointy hands and replace them with these

@DrTobogganMD I use 5mm x 2mm glued directly to the base
at this strength you're in the "turn the tray upside down" realm
I have used 6 x 2 on some metal minis, but using that on plastic models... You have to make sure they're well glued to their bases

I may have to bite it and buy 5mmx2mm instead of socketing into green stuff

yeah, I mean, I don't think I'd want to drop the strength much more
because then, if the dudes slide around on the tray while you're transporting them - what's the point?! there is still a chance of breakage
or paint chipping
which - for me - is the wholr point in magnetising in the first place....!!
